No not really. I sometimes make folds like this when i am in one or two "thinking" spots at other tables.
I don't think we lose a ton of EV though folding this vs a tough opponents 3x open. Considering higher rake and lower rakeback these days.
I really enjoy your videos and have been watching them for quite some time. For me, they have steadily improved. I benefit most from the more detailed explanations of value ranges and bluff ranges for both yourself and your opponent. Looking forward to more in the future!
12:10 35s do you think its okay to play only check/check raise on the ace turn then? How thin do you think we can xr for value then on the turn?
thanks
Interesting spot because nowadays most players just bet 80-100% of their range on boards like this. I think every option is worth considering (depending on villains strategy).
So x/r, normal bet or overbet I think are all ok. We still have some strong Ax in our range aswell as trips+, so we are able to lead the turn aswell.
I do think vs most check back ranges, checking on an A turn is going to be better. (But overbetting turn seems very viable aswell!)

you bet ~1/2 POT w K9o becaus it is bottom of your range as a bluff
Question:
Wouldn't the valuepart of our range here be interested in overbetting because we are pretty polarized?
Doesn't the dynamic make this a good spot to overbet in general since he is so capped and we are still completely uncapped?
I think an overbet does makes sense with some parts of our range, but i am not a big fan of having one betsize OTR. 5x and some Qx are hands that we can use larger sizings with. K9 connected with the T and the Q could make it in either sizing camp.
As a general i think you are right that we can get away overbluffing here vs population using overbets. But i am always a bit careful overdoing stuff like that.
4;50 whats the idea behind your river size? this looks like a size taht would largely benefit aq/aj which you say is in your range infrequently. wouldnt 2p+ prefer a slightly larger size

I really enjoyed the video, thanks!
At the table 3 11:04 A9o is a standard fold against CO?
