shouldn't this be "essential"?

tedSTRETCH 8 years, 9 months ago

why? i'm a paying customer that plays midstakes and i don't feel like i get anything from these. and correct me if i'm wrong but isn't he not winning for a long time now? don't mean to be a dick, but i see that my comment has a couple of likes already so i must not be the only one to think this. are we not allowed to be critical of the coaches? sorry.

sorry but youre just talking a lot of nonsense here, and yes you are wrong because i am winning, check your information better please before you flame other ppl without much reasoning in the future.
im sorry that you think you dont learn anything from my videos, but im sure a lot of others enjoy watching my videos, and in the end how you wrote everything you are not really critical you are just flaming.

I thought the video was good, I enjoy all ERA7ER's video's. Sorry you dont feel the same way. Maybe take it up with support vs being a dink on forum....

i guess it's a fair point that you want actual criticism and not "flames." i just don't think there is much to say. reviewed this video again and it is the same as your others. "i think i will do X. i think i will do Y. i think we can raise here. i think we can fold here. i think we can't call here. i will definitely call here. the weaker player can have a lot of hands here. this is a nice turn." basically no in-depth explanations or actual theory. to me it's not coaching, it's more like narration. i honestly think i'd get just as much watching it muted. cheers though, i'm probably just a hater.

btw the most cringey part for me was when he 3bet A7s btn vs gottama's HJ on one table and then simultaneously folded A3s btn vs gottama's UTG on another. yes villain's range is definitely tighter in the second instance, but the fact remains that the first hand is a clear fold, 2nd is clear 3b or 3b/fold mix.

and again ur saying wrong things, i mean im not gonna comment on every single easy spot, when i call toppair on the flop or do something pretty standard im not gonna comment on that, but im pretty sure when it comes to close spots that i given enough reasons to justify my plays.

and about the other thing that u call "the cringey part" is pretty ridiculous in my opinion. u say A7s is an easy fold and A3s is a standard 3bet or fold. so then explain plz why folding A3s is so bad then.
and about 3betting A7s or not doing that i think there are a lot of reasons to do either the one or the other, its just a matter of frequency and 3betting A7s has some benefits instead of 3betting A3s also so the difference between those hands is so marginal that it almost doesnt matter.

also to consider: RIO does hire a lot of different coaches with a different style and approach to the game. if you dont like my videos you dont have to watch them im sure you will find a lot of other videos you will like on RIO.

4:08 table 3, why is it bad for him to x/r here?

ERA7ER 8 years, 9 months ago

its not necessarily bad to checkraise its just most of the hands he has there just want to call (like pair+draw/2pair/straights/1pair) and only flushes really want to raise and most of the Kx flushdraws have a pair so they dont they can also just call.

min 35:20, when you are faced a pot sized C bet on 237s in 3 bet pot it seems you like that play. Why this strategy is better rather than using range bet for 1/3 pot size bet?
Thanks

ERA7ER 8 years, 8 months ago

i think it depends a little bit what hes 3betting there, but that board doesnt normally hit me very well and i have a lot of those medium strength hands that want to continue but dont want to face too much pressure like all those medium pocketpairs, some 7x, some flushdraws. so by betting pretty big he can apply a lot of pressure on me. and especially some hands like 99-JJ they really want to basically get the most amount of money in as soon as possible, so they really benefit from the big bet.

i am certain era7er is a winner for sure,.but nick howard is a long time loser in even zoom100, you can check out his screename "Madageda" on whoru.ru and he even made videos on zoom500, piosolver and get very good feedback, lol, even philgalfond and sauce123 like his videos.~~and what's more funny is that apotheosis, a long time loser in iveyleague now even move to rio to make videos............

15:25 why you fold A3h?

ERA7ER 8 years, 8 months ago

its just a question of a frequency, u cant 3bet all suited Ax there, so u have to pick a few normally, depends all on your overall gameplan and i think A7s is slightly stronger than A3s in these positions, bc has better equity against the overall range becaus when i hit the pair 7x its gonna be a stronger hand than the pair of 3s.

ERA7ER 8 years, 8 months ago

i think all is quite close, if i have weaker opponents in the blinds i like a call, also against smaller openraises so we get better potodds, but normally with good players i would either 3bet or fold.
