at 5:20 on table 3, why do we cbet A5ss on QJ3cc vs. the fish? seems almost borderline spewy vs. his range on that board...does he foldtocbet high% or something?
7:30 QJcc otr "there's not many bluffs we have especially when the 6 gets there." I'm confused why the 6 reduces our bluffs, if we're not flatting pre with 43s or betting turn with 76s what does the 6 improve?
at 8:35 with 65ss on QT6ssKs, your turn check seems unusual to me. There are very few combos of flushes on this board and it seems like you would want to bet/bet/bet when so high up in your range. Vs. this line he won't be able to raise river for value with less than the nut flush so you won't lose a ton when you do run into 98ss/87ss. It's true that the ranges narrow a good bit on this card but at the same time he still has bunch of JT/QT/QJ/KJ that's calling another bet that won't bet when checked to. And vs. the stronger parts of his range it seems you will lose a street of value a decent portion of the time especially vs. his two pairs but also vs. his straights as opposed to a bet/bet/bet line where those hands either have to call or are tempted to bluffcatch on blank rivs. Out of curiosity how would you play TT there?
lolol at 9:05 btw "im gonna fold the jacks here...or.....i'm gonna call"
5:20: the cbet is really close thats true, i dont have any infos on this player, its not a real fish i think, just something in between probably. we also have backdoorgutshots and an overcard, but its true its really close, we can also check.
7:30: i mean the 6 doesnt improve our range too much, but some combinations we might have got there like 68s, 64s and 34s. althought we might not defend this to a 3bet he could still think we have it, because some ppl definitly defend this to a 3bet. i think we should valuebet though in the end, was not a good check.
8:35: this hand i also think is a bet. i mean its not wrong to check like the lowest flush we can ever have here on the turn, since he can have a decent % a higher flush, and also ranges get fairly strong here. im actually ok with a check here sometimes, but u can definitly bet this hand also.
Hi ERA7ER, merry Xmas! huge fan of your videos for a long time.
I also have HEM2 like yourself and was wondering what format or setting do you use to get certain steps like 3b from a certain position against EP or MP etc. could you please let me know.
because we still have second pair, the turn probably didnt improve him all that often, only KJ/AK type of hands, and there are still a huge number of draws out.
another quick question, at 35:45 you x/r Q7cc on 832cc BB vs. UTG. i'm curious about this spot bc your range lacks any two pair combos so you rep quite thin for value. I tend to not x/r these boards where I can't have many value hands, what is your thought on that spot? is your c/r range simply quite narrow and composed of some lower flush draws and sets?
yes youre right, but on the other hand there are a lot of hands he cbets without any madehand like maybe overcards which we fold out.
i agree this is a better candidate of a hand to call and checkraise more lower fds and gutshots or so.
its still ok to sometimes cr with that kind of hand, but its not my standard too
hey erz7er: timestape 0.52 sec. in to video A9 sp you 3-bet flop came 97Q sp .Why didn't you c- bet is this standard for you?? I alway have trouble in this spot. Let said example you guys are 300bb deep same 3bet same flop instead u c bet and you got rasin 4 x your bet How would you play in this spot?? Would you ever 3bet to get it in this spot OOP?and this deep?Would you call and play street bye street poker? Please explain ? thank you
i think this is a good hand for a checkcall for obv reasons like (we have only mid pair, we have a FD and u also want to have some draws in your checkcall range).
now lets say we decided to bet and get raised and be like 300bb deep i would always call. 3bet get it in is way too light and we just isolate ourselves to a superstrong range, while if we call we leave all his bluffs/semibluffs in. althought we could dominated some draws he might raise/get it in (like 68s) its just not enough.
and on the turn would you still play it the same way if you didnt turn the turn 9? what would u do if it was a 3club on the turn, you check and he goes all in Would you call or flod knowing u might be beat???
u mean for 100bb? for 100bb i would not bet the flop, and for 300bb also not, but if i would have bet, and he raises and i call. i dont think he can straight shove the turn, and if he would i would probably call with this hand.
i would also not bet it 300bb deep because its one of the best hands (if not the best hand) to checkcall. just in case i would have bet i explained how i would continue.
yes but that was long time ago when i started. i play fullstacked since several years already, and also todays table settings dont really favor shortstack play..

i use custom popups, u can design them for yourself in the holdemmanager and then integrate them into your full hud,
hello at 30:39 u said its an easy call for us with q9 suited on the turn can i know why ?
because we still have second pair, the turn probably didnt improve him all that often, only KJ/AK type of hands, and there are still a huge number of draws out.
