at 19:40 in the 675hh hand, you talk about how it's a decent c-bet spot. How are you playing a lot of turns here? It seems like a bad hand to put into a triple barrel range as you said, we don't really block a whole lot other than a single 9. Are you betting a heart? club? are you betting a brick?
at 30:00 I feel KQ here is a must bet given we have very few good rivers for our hand, and there are a lot of combos we aren't blocking that peel flop, including mid wraps, and bare flush draws.
at 37:26 calling a 3-bet with KJ54r seems a bit wide. It's a really bad hand to call a 3-bet with because your flop distributions are going to be more weak than not and have a lot of reverse implied odds situations. If you had a suit it would be closer, but I think if you raise this hand you can happily fold to a 3-bet.
Hi Chris.
The qqj9; Its obv a dicy spot, I guess the hard thing here is to keep your bet frequencies between value/bluffs in line here; since we will have to fold here quite a bit on the flop we want to be selective with the hands to choose to bluff with and also have hands that can go multiple streets as well as single street bluffs. I think the qqj9 with backdoor fd could be an ok c bet for the fact its blocking a 9, however one could argue that a 9T type of hand is the better pick with a nut gutter. We probably will have quite a few more 9T combo's in our 3b range than 9J so that could be a good argument to not c-bet this hand. On the other hand, there will also be quite some 9T hands in our 3b range that might want to c/c flop (for example with a medium flush draw).
Furthermore, its important to think about how you want to play your stronger FD's, I would advocate betting them since it woud offer us to continue our bluffs with a variety of hands on more runouts (for example the hand that we have now, I would be bareling on a heart). If we play our FD's passive than the oppurtunity to bet these types of flops drastically diminishes.
On a club it kinda depends what card, non pairing I would bet yes.
On a brick I would have given up this hand.
KQ hand; agree, should have been a bet on turn.
KJ hand; have to agree with you on that one too. Probably best played as a limp or b/f indeed. Vs this opponent who was 3 betting quite a bit its definitly better to limp.
Hey there,first off great video!
Quick question,at 09:25 in the second hand when he bets half pot on the river on the Q57 3 3 run out and you decide to fold.I was curious as to why this specific hand was a good one to fold.Is it because two tens are too strong to turn into a bluff? You block a 7 for middle set/some of his value range although you said you would raise most of those on the flop but also you block a 4 for the straight. His hand looks like a thin value bet with maybe AQ/AA/KK or something along those lines for the most part, again you block his slow played 64 and at least one blocker to some of the boats he can have.Would a c/r not work/put a lot of pressure on him a large % of the time vs this half pot bet that looks like thin value? Sorry if this question is silly, only recently got elite membership :)
