I try not to be the guy that criticizes video makers. I, for one, would be totally incapable of making a cogent training video in a second or third language. That being said, this video is extremely sub par. The audio portion was almost exclusively spent describing the action rather than elaborating on ideas and visual component was unwieldy at its best. If commenting while playing high stakes is too difficult (there's no shame in that) would you mind either reviewing footage or HH instead? I hope this comes off as constructive criticism rather than the standard internet flame, I'm just very eager to learn PLO and want to invest my time and money wisely. Thanks.
i agree. alexkp made some interesting bet sizing decisions yet failed to elaborate on why he chose those sizings. even a little bit of theory interjected would go a long way. once in a while commenting on overall ranges instead of describing the action with one particular combo would be nice.
the video is enjoyable as entertainment because of alex's personality, but unfortunately it isn't particularly educational.
I have to beg to differ there "reStacks". I was just about to comment saying how I very much enjoyed this video. Thx :-) I would say that it was light and coming from an avid video watcher/ poker player such as myself I find that it is nice to have relaxing sessions playing poker/watching videos sometimes.
A couple of key concepts have been pointed out in this vid , for example the point you make about the constant capping of ranged is the hypers, and these will no doubt be gems of knowledge for certain individuals.
This wonderful site caters for all needs. May i suggest you check out:
-Tom Coldwells vids
-Sam Langs pre flop theory vid,
and of course prob the best in the world at explaining poker concepts across all levels ,
-Phil Galfonds vids
When looking at Phil’s Vids be sure to stick to the essential ones at first as this will better suit the stage you are at. This Video By AlexKP is an elite vid. Hope this helps "rEstacks"
Once again thanks Alex and keep up the good work :-))
I'm a 2kNL reg online and am already a winner at midstakes PLO. I'm also aware that capped ranges are the least vulnerable in low SPR spots. Thanks though.
No probs. I thought u were literally just starting out. Anyhow looks as if this vid has the most likes out of any videos up loaded in last couple of weeks.
Its important to understand that not all vid's will each individual find useful/ appropriate to what they need to be taught. The variety of teaching approaches and different paces each teacher uses appeals to many audiences.Thats what makes RIO so wonderful.
i have to agree, i hope you keep posting video and there's more PLO stuff on RIO but this video was bad. you are a very interesting player and I think if you could change the format of how you do your video it would be more interesting.
the audio was terrible, layout with the table moving and hiding some of the action also.
You don't seem to be capable playing and explaining much while you play
i think you should record a video of you playing a few tables and then record on top explaining your play.

Agree completely. Very little strategic commentary, games breaking and changing all the time, and little action. This vid should have been scrapped.
