@16:45 88 you say (I think correctly) that you have the best hand a lot of the time on turn. Is betting not a good option in that case ? Because vs 2 people protection is more valuable ?
I've noticed that I never hear you taking a drink in your coaching videos. Don't you think it's important to stay hydrated in order to play our A game? I always used to think that being thirsty made me play far too aggressively. Now I drink more water I have a more balanced approach. Likewise, if i decide I want to play passively I really load up on fluids.
Yes, i drink a lot of water. I have a standing microphone so when i take a sip i just turn my head away from the mic so you guys don't hear it on the video.
Not sure if i get more aggro not drinking though :)
Just have a bottle of water next to you while grinding.
I believe johnsonck is talking about the hand on the bottom right at ~28 minutes. I had a similar thought about shoving turn. Also, any consideration to making a larger flop raise or is this the size we want with all our value hands (33, 55, 99) as well? Thanks Mark.
I think jamming turn is competely fine. If we are polarized between strong draws and mainly sets for value jamming probably is the preferred sizing. EV wise i don't think it matters a ton betting 1/2 pot or jamming.
roughly @5mins. AQdd hand, please discuss turn sizing. When barrelling turn i assume our value range is KQ/AK+? so should we not size up? Or is the regular sizing more because his range is pretty inelastic between mid pocket pairs which fold turn a lot or Kx/flopped or turned boats. Or do you just think sizing up with KQ/AK you end up running into the best of it far too often?
Good question. Our valuerange is KQ+ which is definitely a range than use a bigger sizing. Our bluffing range is some AQ and some QJ with bdfd. In theory we probably should use an overbetsizing. In practise i expect the midpairs to fold vs this sizing close to 100%. So basically i don't mind either betsize.
Hi, first of all really nice video and love your thinking processes.
Min @32,40 table 3: you say that you like to raise 99 on that 876 board and makes sense of course, but what would you do if oppo decide to 3bet you flop? He might do it sometimes with a hand like that and might put us on a tuff decision.
Thanks
Vs recreational players i like raising more than vs regs beause rec's are less polarized. So they often bet a hand like A7,A8,89,T8 etc. So by raising we get some value.
If we get 3bet on the flop we continue by calling and just proceed cautious on later streets because when rec's 3bt on a flop like that they usually have a strong range.

I think making a small protection bet is probably slightly better than checking. So yeah i am fine with betting for 1/3-1/4 pot.

good video man, enjoy your content a lot.
Nice vid, really enjoyed!
What are the color tags, yellow is fish I assume?
Thanks,
Yes yellow is recreational. Red and blue are regs with different BB defence frequencies.
