Hey Zeljko nice video
9:25 QQ why is betting less than 1/2 pot not good here? If you bet river what hands are you bluffing here?
15:30 Q9 why can't you check back here? You only have a backdoor straight draw
16:35 T9s since you don't bet turn here what hands would you be bluffing on the turn and river? Isn't this combo kind of nice because we block his strongest Ax that is more likely to hero call you on the river?
17:00 AQ why do you use a 1/2 pot sizing as opposed to 2/3 or 3/4? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each sizing?
17:35 77 won't you be overfolding if you only call Kx? seems like he has a lot of bluff combos here.
28:00 A9o what are the benefits of merge betting this flop instead of using a more polarized strategy?
thanks :)

Nice video, thanks!

At 15:00 top right, why not go for a range bet with your 35% sizing? Are you splitting ranges on this flop? And how do you keep aware of your turn barreling frequencies? Q9hh on that board seems like a give up for me, you block a decent portion of his folding range and almost none of his calling range, and you also have poor equity.

blackbat 8 years, 6 months ago

I think barrelling the q9hh is a frequency bluff that is fine because despite having bad blockers and equity, you can actually get many better hands to fold as it is so far down in your range - Even though they shouldn't fold I assume many hands incorrectly fold ott or will have difficult calling otr - 99-88, a5s 65s a2s... Pokersnowie thought it was 100% bluff ott and 73% bluff shove otr.

Problem is that picking random hands to bluff will lead to a very high bluffing frequency. Also there are already many hands to bluff with. Thats why I asked how he keeps aware of his frequencies

At 20:00 top right, dont you want to have some Ax in your turn checking range? If you bet A5o then you are probably betting all your Ax, right? Do you do that in order to put more pressure and allow yourself to have more bluffs, since his range is fairly capped? What would be the worst bluff you would have in that spot? Sorry for the many questions

21:36 bottom right, I see that you were going for the overbet and then decided to go with 65% sizing, why? Seems like a great spot to overbet turn and bet most rivers

At 9:30 with QQ, you say you will check/call turn as long as his bet isn't too big. I take that to mean you will check/fold river to a shove then? If so, what hands in our range should we have check/calling turn and river?

  • 6:52: 87dd you 3bet vs midstack fish ip ? you favor isolating that much ? flatting seems way higher ev given stack depth

  • min 9:24 : QQ why would betting 40% flop be -ev ? maybe its not max ev but surely its not losing money is it ?

  • 12.30min : T6ss vs turn shove. wouldnt be surprised if the equity of t6 is < 30% in that spot. we really need vilain to bet/call flop some AK AQ or to shove hearts to be good here.
    yeh looks like a fold (included, 86s, AKs, QJhh, 98s)
    Board: Th6d8cAh
    Equity Win Tie
    MP2 28.45% 28.32% 0.13% { Ts6s }
    MP3 71.55% 71.42% 0.13% { TT, 88, 66, AKs, ATs, A8s, T8s, 97s+, 86s, QhJh, ATo }

  • 14:20 : 87dd.
    okay your turn xback range is faceup, but on that river what bluffs do you have left ? low unpaired diamonds, Axdd that you didnt call flop. KQ KJ QJ make a pair or a straight. i think Kx can be valuebet for a small sizing.
    we have nutlow. he can fold some Axdd and maybe QQ JJ ?
    I am not sure about this spot.

  • 26.35 : 74ss. river you dont have so many bluffs; why betting so big ?

Thanks !
