Great content. A couple of questions,

  1. At ~37.00 you cold 4b AQo to $110, so more than 3x the size of the BTN 3bet. Any specific reason behind this? Most others seem to go for a ~2.5x sizing for cold 4bets (or I guess just 4bets in general these days), and sizing up a little more depending on stack depth (sizing up more the deeper they are, obviously).

  2. This is a pretty big question, so I guess I'm just asking for some general thoughts. You mentioned that you've been playing tons of live poker lately, and I'd be very interested in hearing what sorts of adjustments you make when playing live. Specifically I'm interested in a few specific themes,

*c-betting - I'm guessing the 1/3rd pot cbetting strat isn't a thing live, right? As you mentioned in this video /w A3o, I imagine most live players will just misinterpret that sizing in a bunch of ways. Personally, I employ more of a 50% cbetting strategy in spots where I'd generally c-bet 1/3rd online. Thoughts?

*PF-style - in Sauce's latest video he addresses the issue with 'traditional'/GTO-style play in high-rake environments, and as an adjustment he basically just 3bets as much as possible preflop, rarely cold calls, and opens to 3x on the BTN etc. - what are your thoughts on this (since live environments are always gonna be high-rake environments)? Also, as a side note, how do you adjust to people opening to 4-8x as a standard?

Would very much appreciate some sort of answer. Thanks. :)

AQ: Were a bit deeper but even at 100bb this is a standard size for oop cold 4 vs 2bb open and 7bb 3b

live: I think its important to play well and not worry about live players misinterpreting your sizing (this will cost them money if our strategy is sound). Pay attention to showdowns and if you think players are over adjusting make exploits from there.

Most of the bigger live games (10/20+) have comparably low rake since you pay time instead of a drop. For games that take a drop you certainly want to make preflop adjustments depending on the rake structure (for example limping sb becomes significantly worse in games with no antes that take a drop on flops).

In 29:20, you talk about the possibility of turning your KK into a bluff right before snap checking the river. Isn't the 5h on river an amazing bluffing card for a donkbet? You have way more nut flushes and Qh

Also, you folded A9s on BTN vs open and a call on 38:30. Am i missing something or are you just a nit? Thank you

Hey John, great video!

Quick question - at 12:00 on the bottom right you say with QTo you would like to continue on this card and gave some good reasons for doing so. I am a bit inexperienced with choosing the hands to double barrel with pretty much air so what made you want to choose this hand and what sizing would you go for on the turn? I would have thought that the sizing wouldn't be as big on dynamic turn cards so I'm guessing around 1/2 pot? Or would even 1/3 pot generate the same fold equity?

Also assuming we bet the turn in this spot and we're called, are we still value betting the river on the same runout? I'm assuming we would to get value from his 9x and his middling pocket pairs.

Thanks!
