yes definitly defending any pair in this position vs a 3bet, also most likely calling the turn with 66+. not a great spot but still have too much equity against his range
Really enjoyed the video, @30.13 what are your thoughts on 5 bet shoving the 88s from these positions. Seems like a hard spot to play 88s oop in a 4 bet pot and will often be pushed off the best hand by aggression. This is obviously opponent dependant.
yeah we can definitly do that, really depends on the player obviously. most people are just not enough bluffing in this spot to make a shove +ev. if someone is 4bet bluffing too much, shoving becomes better because it is really hard to play 88 postflop correctly in this spot oop.
