Hey Era7er
1:00 78s how thin are you calling turn here? 66+? Do you think we should be defending 44 and 55 preflop against a 3bet?
thanks

yes definitly defending any pair in this position vs a 3bet, also most likely calling the turn with 66+. not a great spot but still have too much equity against his range

Really enjoyed the video, @30.13 what are your thoughts on 5 bet shoving the 88s from these positions. Seems like a hard spot to play 88s oop in a 4 bet pot and will often be pushed off the best hand by aggression. This is obviously opponent dependant.

ERA7ER 8 years ago

yeah we can definitly do that, really depends on the player obviously. most people are just not enough bluffing in this spot to make a shove +ev. if someone is 4bet bluffing too much, shoving becomes better because it is really hard to play 88 postflop correctly in this spot oop.
