Noticed you haven't done much over betting. Do you mostly go for standard sizes, occasionally mixing in some over bets?

How much off the table studying do you do, and in what manner (poker apps, listing ranges on your own, etc)

Hi David,

Yeah i have spots where i overbet. But imo i don't do it enough.

As far as off the table studying. I watch videos, use a bit of Flopzilla and study my own database in HEM2. But that's basically it and the study part is not more than 2 hours a week. I am planning to study more after i have reached SNE. So that will probably be in the beginning of next year.

20:40 would you play some QJs hands same way and what do you think about large river raise with JJ or QQ?

EluSiVeMark 9 years, 5 months ago

I would bet QJss and QJhh most of the time otf. Ott i would be betting the other QJs i guess half of the time. So that leaves us with 1-1.5 combo of QJ otr. We can probably raise TT and QJ for value, which is 4 combos. Depending on our sizing we can have about 2 bluffcombos.

Now i am not sure if having the JJ or QQ as a blockerhand is best vs his bet calling range. Maybe having KQdd or smth is better. Because i expect most of his AA combos bet the flop whereas KK might check more often. And hands like QJs bet the flop in his shoes often. What do u think?

5:47- can we not overbet jam river as a bluff w/ak with ace spades? we block his only conceivable flushes, his slowplayed aces pre, and he has no combos of straights. This would also allow us to win alot more for the times we protect our flop checking range with aces or ever show up with a funky value hand that 3b bluffed pre and wants to value jam river?

im also assuming this hand is the bottom our range when we get to the river given we consider x/f flop(excluding some of our nut heart combos which seem a poor bluff choice given removal effect)
