Several times now in this series you have mentioned that you are incorporating light x/r's into your strategy, what motivated you to do this? Do you think that light x/r's offer something valuable to a strategy?

thank you

Being able to show up with strong and weak hands is important for every line you take. The larger change for my x/r strategy has been sizing. I've decided to go with a smaller sizing, which allows for lighter raising. If you go with a larger sizing, your value range needs to narrow, which means your overall frequency goes down.

Another great video. Thanks Phil.

One thing that I would love to see would be you and Sauce, or another world class opponent, battle it out heads up and talking through some spots simultaneously from your own perspectives. That would give a full understanding of any interesting spots that come up, and would show how you guys at the top of the game use your understanding of each other's tendencies to exploit one another. I am sure this has been done before somewhere, but I think it would be cool in a HUPLO format.

I'd probably think we'd want to have two sizes here - One is a big size trying to punish his lack of trips and boats. Second is a small attacking his non FD part of his check/calling range.

I think this hand goes into our big sizing 75-100%. To this range we'd add some As* and few J* for bluffs and for value nutflush+.

For our small sizing I'd go 20-40%. In this range we'd add flushes+ for value. He will be in a difficult spot with his J* and QQ+ and we can follow up river with another small bet if we think hes lacking flushes and hence will fold too much.

However I think this is these type of boards we have to be careful that we aren't being too creative. Since I think a lot of the field isn't balanced and actually have a very strong c/c range that lacks some of the combos (non fd madehands) we'd expect him to fold to our small turn betting range.

My default strategy is to go with a 1/4-1/3 bet nearly a 100% of the time. I'm curious to hear what hands you would choose to check back in that spot? My guess is some nutted hands like AJxx, some frequency of KQJx, KJTx etc, and maybe low rundown hands with no equity that unblocks his air?

Great video as always! Thanks

i think we miss a valuebet/fold on this river? K high flush is pretty high up in our range after checking flop. we block 66/456/567. villain has tons of weak hands to defend.
