At 6:50 you 3b JTK6ds and get 4b - how do you calculate if this is a call or fold? Do you call a wider range here then say at 100 bb given you can stack off the flop extremely wide? I get into these scenarios often 3bing short stacks and don't know how to go about calculating the profitability.
Hey nice vid, 40:49 you decided to go for the check when you 3b oop on K65hh. I would have think with the fd + the K its hiting fairly often your 3beting range it was a fairly std Cbet. Would you apply the same thought process on 2tone A56 ;A45; K34 ; K78 ?
As for upcoming videos: 1. I like live 2-table zoom videos. Just a tiny thing: I think using permanent extra space for the hand replayer is better than overlapping it over your tables. 2. I would like to see some 3-betting situations in the next video. Specifically IP with weaker hands like single suited low rundowns etc. and OOP situations where we wanna continue in a way but are not happy getting it in.
Also, your HUD seems pretty well developed. Would you mind sharing it? I think making a video about preparing a good HUD and about how to actually use all those stats / notecaddy notes would be appreciated by many people.
Very nice video. I like your flow. It's funny that Galfond wrote in one comment lately that in 50bb+ games preflop decisions doesn't matter much:
"Unless you're playing short stacked poker, I think that any significant time spent worrying about small preflop decisions is wasted time. Postflop is where your edge comes from if you're playing 50bb+, and I think it's not even close"
But it's omaha. Not many things are obvious and both points of view make sense for me.
I would like to see some play in 3bet pots out of position. as a preflop raiser and caller.
You open the SB really wide on occasions in this video. Is this a decision based on a theoretical basis or is it down to it being Zoom and people tend to auto pilot and fold too many BBs as a consequence?
I think also a big argument against raising in the QJJ9 hand where you river a set is that we're setting ourselves up to be exploited massively by super competent players because you're never checking back turn with 45xx so in that situation I think I'm reraising in villains spot a ton.
Good argument. Defently depends of villians tendencies in such situations and if he can think that far. I might also just click call against a reraise in practice.
intersting vid even though I can't say I agree with all of it. would be interesting to get into the math more. i can't imagine folding qq**ds to a 3b can be correct unless villain plays pretty exploitable himself.
I odnt know if you realized, still watching, but your hud seemed to half the time not be updating... Like sometimes you'd have an entire hand where it was showing the wrong players.
I like the content tho, you speak well, pause when there's an issue instead of using all your timebank (!!!) and you make interesting points.
At 22~ min you play a hand where you raised QJJ9cchh utg, cb 236cc, c-c Kx and then raised a halfpot lead deep on Jx..... I'm confused about this.
We are capped to JJ, he can have 45 and KK and we absolutely cannot.... aren't we opening ourselves up to some really nasty situations, plus what do we get value from exactly? Not that many 33, 66,22 out there... so basically AA we hope he calls?
29 min on the TT9r 7x Tx and you say "our bet should be big here unexploitably because we are repping very big"..... I thought because our range is very strong in this spot, we would want to bet small, because otherwise he can fold a lot of his range without it really being a mistake.
In addition, if we have like K high and want to fold out something liek a AQJ or A9xx or whatever, we dont need to bet big.
Could you elaborate a bit on why you think betting big here is correct?
35 min, KJhh8c7s on T59ccc you check behind and say "the hands we get to fold dont have many outs anyway"... but we have K high. A lot of what we are getting raised by either has us drawing dead or will bet bet turn river and we have to fold a lot.
Not necessarily disagreeing with the check behind (we have a club tho which helps betting a little), just unclear on the reasoning.
39 min.. what better hand are we folding out? Also surprised you played that pre-flop, you think it's standard? You've seemed pretty conservative in a lot of spots where you are OOP, so it suprised me a bit.

Hey JNandez, great video!

I think there are several way's of calculating how to play against AAxx heavy 4bet ranges. I would advocate using PokerJuice, easiest way imo.
Enjoyed this, and I like the sounds of the upcoming videos. I would really like to see you focus on OOP CB options in both 3B and single raise pots.
Zoom Videos are best, more!
Goodstuff, again! I like the live format and number of tables.
I'm prob. 3-betting AA97r against the shortstacks open though, but I like your arguments for flatting. A video with cbetting strategies would be nice.
Also, it would be very usefull to know your HUD

My upcoming video will cover OOP 3bet spots as PFA in detail, hope you enjoy!
could you post your HUD please? do you have some tips for a good plo-hud? what are the 3 stats you find most important?
I will go over my HUD in the upcoming video(s), look out for it ;)
Pretty good video!

I would open wide as an adjustment to the BB. In general I don't like opening very wide in the SB. I think these days BB will play back a lot.

He can re-raise KK here too tho, with the same reasoning... which is another hand we can't have. I'm also in the camp of disliking that raise.

What does your yellow colour on a player mean?
I have colors for different preflop tenendcies, nits, tag, lags, manicas, loose passive etc. Hope that helps ;)
Fernando great video!! Can you talk a little bit about your HUD setup and specifically what stats you find yourself using a lot to exploit people?
I'll start talking about this in more detail in the upcoming videos. Glad you liked it!
Format and your videos are good.
