Trust me...I do all these things routinely (and I'm not a very happy person as it relates to self-actualization)...so in actuality...its not that great...
23:02 table 2 ATs are you cbetting 100% here?
26:00 AQo table 1 what's the weakest hand you could 3 barrel for value here?
34:16 AQo table 1 do you use the bigger sizing OTF here because the board is dynamic?
@23:02: That's a fine strategy
@26:00: I think we need a J or better on this runout. The J/T/9 is such a threatening runout.
@34:16: Ace high boards play a bit differently because there can't be any overcards and so protection is less important. I tend to develop a polarized cbetting range.
My guess is that OOP gets a mix of jams and blocks here. It's a really awful runout for me, I've taken the small cb high frequency on the flop then X behind on a relatively safe turn which should decrease the strength of my range a lot. The river is then the worst card in the deck for me, the T. He can probably overbet anything J> comfortably for value, and bluffs include anything <=A hi that XC flop.
Thanks for the video, Ben. I was really interested in the sizing that you chose. Can you explain them a bit?
110% pot sizing that you used on some turns and rivers - why do you use this sizing versus a more "standard" 2/3~ pot sizing?
Small 3bet sizing with KK vs utg open - why chose to have a smaller sizing or multiple sizings here?
Open size of slightly over a minraise, specifically interested in that sizing as UTG or MP opener. - I've seen this become fairly popular. Do you think that it is higher EV than a 3x open?
With regard to the KK sizing vs UTG, I've been favoring smaller 3bets IP lately. I think these are likely to be higher EV than near potsized 3b but that's mostly conjecture and I doubt the difference will be large.
+1 for a pio video on dealing with excessive OOP cbets. I'd love to see more exploration of this topic, because I know pio says OOP is not "supposed" to cbet a high frequency against a cold caller on many boards, but I'm far from confident in my ability to exploit someone who does.
I ended up making a video on the J54r HJ vs Btn call situation from 39:45 in this video. I'm happy with how it turned out and you'll see it on here next Friday. Thanks again for the suggestion.
I'm not sure haha. I mean he can have QQ/JJ himself too using this size (and KK if he flats pre), as well as T9s I suppose (but that's even a bit thin). Kind of a strange play.
@10:53 You mention that versus a small sizing, you can find a raise with KK, as it's pretty much the top of your range. I was wondering how wide you'd be able to go on this river for value. I don't really know how your range on the turn is constructed, but it seems like KK would likely be the one of very few hands you were raising for value. Maybe a low frq of ATs? I'd imagine 9Ts barrels turn as a higher frq play than checking, and Kx two pairs block a lot of V's calling range. Also, I'm assuming many of your flush combos want to be barreling the turn as many do not have showdown value. If these are true (which they may be completely wrong, sorry), How would you choose to defend vs a river 3b? Fold KK and defend flushes and AhTx?
Something like that. I think optimal is a bit trickier than what you described and even checking KK is a pretty low freq (or maybe even 0% play) on turn but I think it's good vs the field right now.
Why do you size your CBets as 30% pot? I understand it lets you get value from the top of your range by pricing in bad hands to call, but if you're CBetting so small with your whole range, doesn't that diminish fold equity from your bluffs?
Hi Ben, why do you cbet 1/3 pot on Table 2 (6:18) after 3betting the CO with AcTs on a Board Js 8c 2 c ? He's got probably an Equity Advantage what would make a potsize bet more suitable. Thanks a lot for all the great Videos !

Hello,
it would be great to do the following :
1) The same size of tables
2) Highlight active player
3) Autorebuy
Thx in advance

Ben, your videos alone worth more than the monthly 100$. Thanks so much!
your name goes against all that Ben stands for
26:15 what do you think to his overbet, which sorts of hands would he have to bluff to facilitate this sizing/ would you overbet in his spot

This fits well with my plan for future videos to deal with specific topics like this, thanks for the suggestion.

Awesome! I'm very much looking forward to it.

great vid.
