Nice video, really enjoyed it. What do you suppose pio would say w 88 if flop came A107r, in this sb v button spot, feels like this is a much higher % check and I would intuitively ck 88 here.
Thats not necessarly true, because of Tyler mentioned in a vid - really high range assymetry between SB and BTN, meaning that BTN is having troubles on this texture having way less AA/AK/TT in his range. SB can still bet a ton.
He'll still likely bet here occasionally, but the board texture will be less frequently bet in general because as screamdustry mentioned the ranges are much less asymmetrical on this board texture.
I checked first hand (AK) in a solver, trying to figure out where the 'hotspot' is to auto bet/bet expoloitively. I looked very close to BB defense in this spot, and i dont think its really that hard for him. It looks to me that on a flushdraw turn card, he doesnt really need to call any onepair hands to find around 43% fold. Thats very close to GTO and against that solver never uses AK as a bet IP.
Sure, here is range i used:

This is a bit tighter than what PIO would defend in small stake, high rake games, but i think should be reasonable for Bovada anon (propably too tight for enviroments like 500z tho).
Another consideration that i checked is that we know from mass database analysis that Nick Howard ran (although that tendency is very easy to find out it in any large database) that population is universally not bluffraising enough on the flops.
Now, if we look at GTO BB defense, it should be raising really tons of 8x OTF. I think that most regs would also fail to do that, which is even worse for a case of high frequency bluffing OTT.
I ran the sim using your ranges and disallowing raising on the flop. PIO now never bets IP on this card, but I still come up with our opponent still having to call J7s-A7s as well as most Q6s-A6s. I'm not sure what's causing the difference strategies.
Im not sure either, maybe its a flop. Im using CREV, so for simplicity use only that one sizing OTF that u used, and PIO is betting with it only 26%. Maybe the fact that you use multiple flop sizings is somehow skewing our sims?

Does it start betting when you nodelock OOP to fold these?
They can go all-in on other streets. They just need to go allin by raising rather open shoving. I think this is reasonable constraint because few people open shove on early streets.
Great question!
Asymmetrical ranges are situations where my range is comprised of different types of cards than my opponent. This has implications into how I play a range based strategy.

Hey Tyler, thanks for vid.

Awesome that's interesting, just on curiosity what hand range did you use for the big blind? I think my model may have been too tight on the 8s.

Hi Scream,
I ran the sim using your ranges and disallowing raising on the flop. PIO now never bets IP on this card, but I still come up with our opponent still having to call J7s-A7s as well as most Q6s-A6s. I'm not sure what's causing the difference strategies.

Awesome stoked you liked it!
Hi Tyler, nice video!
Just one doubt, why is it that you don't allow players on your sim to go all in on other streets than the river?
They can go all-in on other streets. They just need to go allin by raising rather open shoving. I think this is reasonable constraint because few people open shove on early streets.
newb question -- can you further clarify what you mean when you talk about your range being asymmetrical?
Great question!
Asymmetrical ranges are situations where my range is comprised of different types of cards than my opponent. This has implications into how I play a range based strategy.
Ultimately, you are my new favorite instructor.
Awesome! Excited to hear that :)
34:30. It seems like AK with the K of Clubs would be bet more frequently to me.
