Mark Lammers aka ElusiveMark drops down in stakes and looks to take on a pool full of 1-tablers. Going in without a HUD, the discussion focuses on exploitation of the generally weak player pool at these stakes.

Hey Mark, could you make a live session playing fastfoward at party poker? There are mostly nlh100 games. Thanks, I always enjoy ur vids.

Hey Mark - nice video. I noticed you are usually 3 betting with your Axs hands in blinds v LP, or otb v co, etc. Do you have any recommendations on what good frequencies are for making these 3 bets at these limits? I've been dabbling in lower zoom games on Ignition where the rake is high, so not sure these 3 bets are profitable at those limits for, example. In mid stakes games, I will 3 bet them occasionally but not always. I'm not a theory expert, so just curious how you'd go about finding precise frequencies for your ranges in these situations. Thanks.

Hey dink,

Games with higher rake should increase your 3betting in position and decrease your cold calling. Often enough you'll pick up the pot preflop paying no rake.

You do not want your opponent to 4bet bluff profitably. Assume a 5/10 NL game.
An open to 25 and u 3bet IP to 75. A 4bet from the original raiser would be to around 200. So he is risking (200-25)= 175 to win 5+10+75+200= 290
175/290 = ,603
-> he needs you to fold 60% of the time to make an immediate profit.
When u have a calling range his bluffs still have equity. So you'll need to defend a bit more than 40%.

If your folding frequency to 4bets is between 40-50% you aren't going to be exploited too much. So for every combo you "bluff" you need to have 1- 1,2 combos to defend vs a 4bet.

Ofcourse u can and should make exploitable adjustments vs players that either overfold, overcall of over4bet to your 3bets.

Nice video.
Min @36.40 we're bet/calling right?
I know it might look like a stupid question but I always find myself with a lot of doubts when I have these combodraws with these stacks.

We need 100/(100+144+43+46) = ~30% equity to call. We have about 24% vs his valuerange. If we think he has some bluffs(flushdraws or straightdraws) it becomes a call.

At 14.25 mark. You have Ax in i three bet pot oop and hits trips after F and T went check. Seems like your range is very value heavy when you bet here. About how many bluff-combos do you have when you bet river?

EluSiVeMark 7 years, 3 months ago

In theory if we bet river for 2/3 pot we need to have about 70% value and 30% bluffs. Suited connectors that gave up otf and turn are good candidates. If we don't have enough bluffs with just those we need to add some low pp's.

Thought you had almost no missed fushdraw combos as bluffs on river after check check as the preflop aggressor on F and T.
Thank you for the answer!
