Hey Stelios
3:30 TT what is your calling range otr when villain shoves? Against a nit/ someone who doesn't bluff enough how much tighter would you be calling on the river?
5:15 5Ts why do you like the small bet here? The board is really wet so are you just trying to fold Ace high?
8:30 QQ should we be calling Jx on the turn here? only calling Ax seems way too tight to me.
9:05 JJ would be folding AQo preflop here against a squeeze? Doesn't it have enough equity to call a squeeze?
20:30 QJ if he bet 1/2 on the flop instead of ott would you call? Or should we only defend Ax+?
thanks
1- it s a really player dependant situation, versus nits maybe calling only 7x and AA is ok
2- is very good board for me and he is in a really tough spot with a bunch of Ax offsuit hands that defend the bb
3- Jx is better than QQ since it blocks AJ and it allows him to have more bluffs like QT KQ
4- Against most players AQo is a fold
5- I prefer only Ax+ because usually they 4bet Ax as bluffs so they crush this board, against players who tend to 4bet bluff there with other types of hands I think I float once with QJ
7:00 right table As3s, why cbet 51%. I prefer betting small this board texture cause you bet your whole range
8:30 QQ you only continue on th turn with Ax and diamond combos ??? The reason not to hold Qd gives you a solid chance to be your QQ a good bluff catcher ???
14:12 78o is top of your folding range ??? 89o you call 1,35 to 5,7 ??
21:14 is your river bet 10 to 50 with Ah4h balanced ???
1- I agree but half pot is still ok
2- I answered this above
3- To be honest I m not sure there, it really depends on what sb is flatting, maybe I should call my 78o
4- I have more than enough bluffs in my range for this sizing, so it s pretty easy to balance it
I can call a bunch of pairs plus gutshots on the turn since I m bluffcatching anyway, I don't think he valuebets KQ or worst in this line. Against aggressive opponents I would call the turn but still it s gonna be close to even most of the times
@8:15 on the left table you fold QQ vs the second donk lead saying that we'll have a lot of Ax hands and diamonds to call here. Wouldn't it be better not to have diamonds so we don't block villain's bluffing range?
@19:00 you x/r 43s on the left table after defending your BB against a weaker player. I'm a little confused as to the purpose of this x/r, is it purely for protection? Being a probable weaker player it's unlikely that he folds better in this spot. Unless this is is a thin value raise against all his draws? Even then I think it would be tough to continue on almost any turn.
@20:30 on the right table what do you make of villain's check on the flop? I've been thinking about these situations in 4bet pots and in cases where you assume that the 3bettor is going to flat relatively wide (mostly when IP) would it make sense to check your whole range on a lot of flops? Especially on Ax boards where it's going to be easy to get the money in over two streets with AK, AQ, AA etc. plus it defends your checking range when you have KK or JJ and hands like that.
The only downside I would say is that you don't get a cbet in on a board where you have a range advantage when you are bluffing but is this enough of a negative to take into account, especially when a few of your 4bet bluffs are going to include an A?
Sorry that question was from more the villain's point of view rather than your own; as Taiga above asked what do you think your defending range is here on the turn? Obviously I don't know for certain but I wouldn't think you would have enough Ax to only call with those on the turn and this is probably the second best non Ax hand you'll have.
1- diamonds have enough equity to continue ip vs a half pot bet almost against anyone
2- can't find this hand on 19
3- It s better to just bet whole range if you are the 4bettor on this flop. About what I defend, first of all I have a lot of Ax, secondly in boards that your opponent has a big advantage you have to overfold anyway, thirdly if you think he has enough bluffs all your gutters like KTs KJs are better bluffcatchers since they beat bluffs and have more equity vs nuts than QJ, also spades are obvious calls, so all in all QJ looks like an easy fold.
1 - That's true, didn't really think about that.
2 - Sorry that was my mistake, I meant 18:00 not 19:00.
3 - Ok that makes sense, so generally you are looking for hands that have higher equity vs his whole range rather than hands that beat bluffs but are drawing dead vs better hands in these spots?
16:45 shouldn't you be less incentivised to open QTo on the HJ when theres a rec likely to call you ip, and also wouldnt you want a slightly stronger range having a short stack in the blinds?
A rec otb means he is less likely to 3bet me and I can turn a profit playing a hand like QTo even oop, with a short stack on the blinds is better to tighten up if he is a regular, but having no hands probably he is not, so it s even better to open QTo there
Wish I could <3 these responses more than once. Thanks for taking the time to go more in-depth into your hands here @stelios serefidis, and of course to all those who took the time into thinking up useful questions! So much to take away...

28:09 AK button facing a bb defense
its a really hard spot with TPTK, why you choose fold it? the turn 9 seemns a villan two pairs?
