13:10 KQ OTT on JJxx board, is your 2nd barrel standard ? I lean toward giving up w/ no clubs here.
38:30 w KK OTT, I think we have other hands we want to c/b in order to protect our c/b range such as T9, 98, 96. Here we want to maximise our value vs 9x/draw type of hands. Thoughts?
Hello Ian Salter.
Can you tell me why you said "definetly gonna check the turn" on the hand in the minute 41:30??
Congratz! Really like your aproaches!
Agree with this. Think both this and the KK hand where Ian checks turn are both clear bets, mostly for value and secondly protection. Interested to see a PIO analysis on either/both.
I see your point and yes against any normal opponent its a clear bet for the obvious reasons of blocking the QJ check shoves, needing value and protection. The problem I have here is how insanely tight this player is. I felt like the 9 improves 9t and 99 as well as villain still potentially having KK in range. I did not expect a lot of Tx due to very tight preflop stats and i think its very unlikely he calls a turn bet with 55-88. I can definitely get on board with betting the turn on the basis there are still the flushdraws, JJ and JT-ATs though so i will admit I am probably wrong here!
This coach has a new follower. I like his thought process, the way he explains it, and how he plays a really tight, yet aggressive game. Very good for the stakes he's playing/coaching.

Hello, Why do you think check back 9 on the turn with QQ is the best option? Especialy consider deep stacks you had.

Good series though, ty!
