hey all, new poster to runitonce. going on my first month as strictly a 6max plo grinder and i feel as though many things that i originally struggled with are beginning to click. as a lurker, this forum was starting to remind me of 2p2 in its glory days... so many excellent players, posting very high-level analysis; it's incredible. Really looking forward to improving my game and hopefully helping the community.
on to the hand,
not much as far as reads go on our villian here. 10 hands, playing 30vp/10pfr/0 3b/8af. Not putting any stock into such a small sample. When hand samples are so small, I lean towards using their home country as the base for my reads. In this case, he is from russia.
preflop: I think flatting is very standard. not sure if there is any other option worth considering oop here.
flop: villian pots it into two players. more or less readless, i'd say a reasonable range is AA**, KK**, AKccxx, and king high rundown hands. given that I block all the lower rundowns he could have connected with here, I think those can be discounted.
obviously we like this flop, but against a pot-sized bet it's not exactly a comfortable spot. Calling is my default.
Is there any credence to raising here? I think it would be mostly for protection if we do and I'm not sure it's worth the extra risk/giving away the strength of our hand/getting him to fold his bluffs.
Turn: I check and he pots it again. I have a pot sized bet raise remaining. Totally lost in this spot.
