Hey guys,
I've been going through a few hands I played earlier this year to look for some spots/ideas to improve my game.
This hand I actually almost skipped over, but the second after I realised that there might be something to improve. Phil especially inspired me to think twice over every spot, and I believe that's the better approach.
However, to the hand:
Villain is a decent reg who is playing Zoom200 on daily basis, but at the time I didnt have any reads on him other than that.
I believe on the flop we have all 3 options, of which I propably like calling the least given that he is likely to barrel all cards we don't improve on while he is more likely to check most broadways because they hit our perceived range quite well.
Folding on the other hand seems too weak, we should have decent hot&cold equity against a ~20% range (I'd guess somewhere in the range of 40%), so I wouldn't feel to great folding this hand rightaway.
So I've been playing in my mind with c/r this spot, we block a lot of AK/KQ combos and his low rundowns or basically 7x hands have to fold to a c/r, while they have very good equity against us. Since there are no draws whatsoever he propably has to fold even AA** as well as fold most of his Khigh rundowns on blank turns, so propably give up pretty much his entire range on the turn at the latest.
What do you guys think, and how do you approach this spot yourself?
P.S.:
I'd love it even more if we had backdoor NFD instead of the Qhigh one, but it shouldn't make very big of a difference for the general approach.
