Zoom 50 superdeep, extracting value #3

BN: $159.90
SB: $62.04
BB: $283.36 (Hero)
UTG: $191.98
HJ: $23.67
CO: $41.76
Preflop ($0.75) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt T J 8 K
UTG raises to $1.75, HJ folds, CO folds, BN calls $1.75, SB folds, Hero calls $1.25
Flop ($5.50) 7 9 8 (3 Players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, BN checks
Turn ($5.50) 7 9 8 5 (3 Players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, BN bets $4.46, Hero raises to $16.64, UTG folds, BN calls $12.18
River ($38.78) 7 9 8 5 4 (2 Players)

Both villains are regs, UTG is opening 16% of hands, BU is a tight 16/11 reg who is propably flatting 10% here minus polarised 3-4%.

I believe my line up to the river is very standard, I think either of them is likely to stab the turn with a FD or a straight (this deep it's also not unlikely either of them has checked back flop with second nuts and no redraw). If not I still can bet or c/r river depending on cards and tendencies :)

River brings the frontdoor flush, not sure if I can valuebet against his range here or maybe induce something stupid by betting rather than by checking. Spot doesn't look like one villains would be very willing to bluff vs. a check.

If we wanna bet, what sizing do we want to use? I would want to go with ~40% Pot to get value from weaker parts of his range and maybe induce some, since bluffing doesnt get really expensive for him, and the times we have hands like AQJ:ss we can bluff cheaper.

donk flop, if you're going to xr turn then make it bigger. Check river

Can you at least explain your thoughts? I appreciate you commenting,
but it's not really helpfull to understand the game if you getting told
what to do, but not why.

I absolutely dislike leading this flop with any part of our range being this deep, as well as
in generall. My turnraise should be close to pot (90-ish).

Donk flop because it's not a spot your hand is strong enough to feel good with  x/r and piling money in but ton of value to be had by betting and hands you don't want to see free turns. Not sure why you wouldn't want to have any leading range on this flop.

Raise turn bigger because the board is super wet.

Check river because it's unlikely you get enough calls out of straights to make up for how often you run into a flush.

I'm not sure why you actually would WANT to have a leadingrange range on this board, I believe this deep I neither have a donk nor a c/r range, since so many turncards change the nuts.

Certainly open for new ideas for my game, if there are arguments for having those ranges in this spot I might be missing on something :)

flop either c/c or donking is fine - when you donk and get called you can just shut down on hearts, continue betting on all cards (fold vs a raise if board pairs or higher straight possible). by c/c you allow them to take a freecard on the turn, but also keep the pot small.

as played turn I would lead PS now because most players will just take a freecard again or if they bet  and you c/r you turn your hand faceup and have a hard time playing rivers. I would only consider c/r nuts+redraw since we have less bad rivercards. but as mentioned you if you c/r you should make it bigger since you polarize your range and want to charge them the time they are drawing or bluffcatching.

riverplay: if they are passive a small vbet may work, c/c or c/f otherwise , depending on the tendencies of the player

I think that it would be good to have a donking range here and i think the nut straight with not redraw is a good hand for it. Your hand is not really good enough to c/r imo.

Nice to have you here on RIO Alien Slayer! Just wondering what you would think a good donking range would be? I think ppl play very honest on flops like these and will often check behind. I personally am donking here with nut straight no redraw, Top 2 pair, sets, Nut FD with a pair or gut shoot.

Or do you also agree with edgeking that you dont need a leading range opn board like this MW.
