What hands push equity preflop? live games going 3-4 ways in 3 bet pots

the range of hands that you 3 bet when you are able to isolate and play heads up is much different than when the table dynamic is that of getting 3-4 cold callers of your 3 bet. i find this happens a lot in live games. so of course you want to go for pure value. what type of hands push your equity in games like this? middling rundowns like 6789ss? or mainly looking at high card combos and nut suits.

against regulars/thinking fish having something like 4567ds /5599ds is good in your 3-bet range since certain boards you wont get action from. But against just dumb/normal live players just 3-bet high suited broadways.

I dont think that its a big difference between JTKQs and the same hand ds IF you are not going all in preflop. Most off the time you flop 2pair+gutter and just keep barelling. And in that situation an extra 5% to flop an fd is not that relevant. As you will play a board where you flop well the same way as IF you flop well AND a fd.

Can't flop two pair plus a gutter with that hand, unless the board is paired. But the good news is that flopping two pair is even better openended! :)

I agree, live there just aren't situations in practice where you're losing playability in KQJT because it's single suited instead of double, in multiway pots it runs good against a lot less smooth K, Q, and J high run downs that live action players never fold. Like QJ96 with three hearts is often played multi way live and flopping dominating draws and combo hands drives a lot of profit. Double suited is nice in preflop all in scenarios as you mentioned! Or anytime, in practice it's just not creating margins for folds between the constructs an anount of time that's worth scrutiny.

Sorry I lost track of the topic, 6789ss and that family if hands (679Tss, 5789ss) have solid equity in multiway pots, but it is dependent on playing well in marginal situations. You both can't get it in haphazardly with under wraps lik 8Tx and 9Tx boards, and can't be pushed off of equity easily either. And if you're in spots many times you should learn the right balance. But the low card and two mid card boards that you dominate should be enough to easily fade the worst case scenarios and make these hands drive profit in multiway pots. Especially IP, a,d especially deep. After learning some of your opponents patterns these hands can be highly profitable! Some opponents fold far too frequently on the river after checking on board pairs but pay off on straightening boards to avoid being bluffed. Live fish are very prone to this IME.
