Using your Pokerstars screen name as your Run It Once username
Hi,
I've just recently signed up to Run It Once after deciding I wanted to make more of an effort at improving my game. I would like to start interacting with other people who play plo as I don't really talk poker with anyone apart from one friend, but he only plays 6-max nlh.
My Pokerstars screen name is the same username I use on here and I was wondering if that is a mistake if I decide to start posting hands and talking strategy on here? Am I potentially giving information away about myself here that people might use against me? Or am I over thinking things?
Would be pleased to hear your responses,
Thanks

Playing low stakes, you absolutely don't need to worry about this at all. Even if the occasional player would learn something about some detail of your game, being up against that exact player in a similar spot is so unlikely you can think of it as zero probability.
Even at mid stakes I don't think this is a major concern, because the player pool is still reasonably large. The benefit for yourself posting hands and learning from the responses will still be much higher than any possible risk of someone learning about you.
Hi, I just joined today and I'm looking for someone to review hands. Send me a pm if interested.
As far as ur sn been the same one here I made the same decision and don't really think it affects me too much since I mainly play zoom.

Well it's a legit concern, and you have nothing to lose by choosing a different SN. That said, I think you can contact RIO staff and ask if they can change your SN here for you.
There is no reason to give away anything. Starts with things as little as not showing your VIP level next to your avatar. If there's a chance to stay anonymous on the Internet, I'll take it.
