i think the flop raise is standard for a lot of folks. but there are def some arguments for flatting flop.
as played i really cant imagine doing anything but betting. are we gonna put him on the mid wrap only and check-fold? i dunno if id pot it tho vs a decent player, even tho we are committed either way once we bet, it feels like if we pot it then now he can safely fold KJ and maybe 88 leading him to play very well with most of his range vs us.
the upside re potting is that we charge the AQT and turned fd with his str8 draw the max obv.
PS: if this is his range 50%:(AQT,QT9,T97) (only wraps) we still have 40% eq on that turn. meaning we have to go with it with this spr. add in some JJ/88/KJ and QT and its all of a sudden looking like a close but easy snap bet ott.
Thanks for taking the time to make me a tougher player for free :P
Im curious as to those arguments for flatting flop?
Jerry: good point. next advice will be $10.
Perma: i suppose theres only 1 argument. i would raise flop for sure, but a lot of players like flatting flop to see a safe turn and then ram n jam turn.
Without a lot of further information, I would consider flatting flop here to be pretty f*ing terrible against 25PLO randoms.
