Turned two pairs 3-way IP facing a donk after flop was checked

Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 (6 Players) SB: $176.47
BB: $44.25
UTG: $58.98
MP: $39.25
CO: $62.71
BN: $54.90 (Hero)
Preflop ($0.75) Hero is BN with T 9 6 7
3 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, SB calls $1.50, BB calls $1.25
Blinds are standard regulars at this level. Nothing special I guess.
Flop ($5.25) 7 3 2
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks
At flop I was thinking c-bet, but with two backdoor draws I felt that I actually want to give myself a chance to improve or chance to get a good draw. A45 or 456 hands or sets could CR
Turn ($5.25) 7 3 2 9
SB bets $4.00, BB calls $4.00, Hero raises to $20.99
Here I get two pairs and only good cards left are 7 or 9. 8 will get me a straight but it won't be for nuts. I figured out that my two pairs is good enough and needs a protection.

But isn't it a little bit loose to play 3-way for stacks with just two pairs with gutshot? And what if villain reraise All-In?
