Tough spot 350bb deep against regular live aggro.
Live game 25/50.
UTG limps 50, HJ (Regular live aggro) rol 250, CO(loose passive) calls 250, Dealer (Me) 3bet 1.100 KhKcQc3c, SB fold BB folds, HJ call 1.100 and CO folds.
So is HU and 2.525 in the pot. We have 17.000 effective stack. Flop comes Ks7s2s. He checks, i decided to bet 1.300, he xraises 4.200, I call.
Turn is Ah. pot is 10.900 he bets 4.000, I call.
River is 5c. pot is 18.900 he shoves 8.800 i ended up calling. He had AsAc5s6s
Just want to know what you guys think about how i played the hand. Do you like having top set in the betting range flop playing that deep? Turn card is one of the worse ones but even like this, he is very loose and his fold to 3bet is very low.
Thanks in advance.

Hi IsraelMazeltov,
Its ok to cbet this imo(might go even smaller with range), and your priced in to call the flop raise and small turn bet. Against normal live opponents would expect the river call to show a huge loss. Their preflop range just doesnt usually contain enough dry A spades, and from my experience even the loosest semi fishes would need the blocker to make this play as a bluff.
But all in all... its a live game and you as a player will have the best reads and info about the game, and many times reads are more important against loose live semi fishes than math/theory, so i think you have to be your own judge here at the end...
Thank you very much Janne.
Lets imagine he just xcall flop. would you prefer go and fire turn and river trying to get a fold from medium flushes having a decent equity or just xback and showdown? My plan was firing turn and river expecting him to xraise almost aways the As. Do you think having in the 3barrel range Axs, dry As and KKK is ok? Thanks. Im a not very experienced PLO player and i have lots of dubts many times in how my range need to be.
Thanks in advance again
Hello again,
If only called on flop i am fine with both options on turn, betting is a bit more attractive though. These players that are loose pre, will have some smaller sets and 2pair hands that they might feel forced to call( you get value) and on the other hand your turn bet might force some very small flushes to fold... If also only called on turn, i think showing down your set is usually the best approach, you got zero flush draw blockers but still small amount of SDV. Would rather bluff my high spade blockers (A,Q) on river...
he´s repping the nf with his flop c/r, esp on such a board, and not a mediocre flush, so betting once checked to seems weird and accomplishes nothing except you want to induce him once more to go crazy.
btw, would not 3bet this preflop. flop is not a mandatory bet either imo, but accomplishes deception/balances your range and might induce some spew esp from this kind of player. you have to remember though that it´s hardly a vbet since you really will have a hard time getting called by worse on such a board. but it´s nice imo to add this hand in our c/betting range on that board cause it can stand some heat
I really don't like how this hand was played on any street. Preflop we have a hand that plays well in a single raised pot in position multi-way, and 3b'ing reopens the actions and makes us vulnerable to 4b (wouldn't be so bad if we had a hand that we want to play a 4b pot with, but we don't).
OTF we are just asking to get played back at here. I would only cb if we were happily calling a c/r or wanted more action, but frankly other than a flush there's few hands on a K72s board that are capable of putting more money in the pot (either by c/r or c/c), so unless he's very likely to play back with bluffs I'd prefer just checking back and getting 1 street of value later on, or bluff catching 1/2 streets (livepro him).
In other words, either c/b and happily call a c/r from the right player, or if you're not sure, check back and polarize if it's close. Choosing the latter option will be more +EV against a range prob anyway and provide you with more visibility. Frankly in reraised pots I'm more likely to check back here because people have more nut flushes (and more nutblockers for that matter) and in single raised pots non-nut flushes play passively, and good players are more likely to bluff because there is deeper stacks to barrel. Players are more value heavy in 3b pots imo.
Don't like pre. Flop is not awful but probably plays better as a check unless we're bluffing a huge range on this flop and need more value. A small bet is obviously the sizing if we do bet.
Turn is a call a guess based on sizing but the fact that he's begging for a call isn't making me feel good about.
River seems like a snap fold as he just won't have enough bluff combos played this way this deep when we'll have all the nut combos in our range.
I guess turn is the only street that seems ok, but even that could be a fold with more info. It's close.
