thin value with TPTK?
HJ: $29.94
CO: $25 (Hero)
BN: $25
SB: $6.45
BB: $25
UTG folds, HJ raises to $0.80, Hero calls $0.80, BN folds, SB folds, BB folds
Villain is 22/19 and seems very capable for small stakes. My only note on him says that he squeezed QQT8ss vs 2 weak players IP. Not too relevant here. Sidequestion: Is it spew to squeeze this hand vs fish IP?
Preflop: I decided to flat b/c SB and BB didn't seem like very competent players so I'd like to invite them in. If they do fold I have good deception vs MP which isn't too bad either.
Flop: Villain opens 18% from MP so on this flop he either has air, Q* or KK,AA. I block a Q and AA so I felt like I'm way ahead of him. The only we're afraid of is QQ, which we block. 22,44 are superrare (only KK22 or sth.). He could have some A235 etc. but against that I'm still not doing terribly bad (45%).
If villain was very aggro and liked to barrel floating has some great merit but I didn't know if that was the case so I decided to go for a non-credible raise. Since there are hardly any (no relevant ones at least) draws out there going for a small raise seemed reasonable.
Once he calls I think he has Q***, KK, QQ almost always. If he had a draw it would usually be pair+oesd or a wrap since he opens mainly connected cards from MP and therefore would've 3bet them a high% of the time I imagine.
Taking that into conclusion, this not-that-great turn is acutally not-that-not-that-great ( :P ).
Therefore I decided to bet. If I faced a shove I'd prolly still fold since I don't expect villain to go bananas too ften here. Would suck if I folded vs a hand like AQJT with nuthearts or KK+hearts/ KK45 but I feel like the times that he has me crushed when x/shoves outweigh those times.
Any thoughts on any part of the hand apprecitated!
