BB is a Supernova, and plays 24/17 with 9.1 3-bet%, AG 6.0% and his raise to c-bet OP is 15/21 over 890 hands.
I've seen him shoving on the flop with the nuts and with air.

So do you think that despite the reads on the villain i stacked off to lightly here?
When he made the raise i needed only 33% equity to call which i had at the time but i decided to shove because:
1) the turn would be difficult to play with only top pair;
2) i think his range here has a decent number of bluffs to make this shove profitable;

way to light, imo.
vs this aggro opponent, we can even think on checking back I guess.
bet\fold is certainly applies here. I wouldn't make illusions about villain raise\folding this big on this bord (tho, I've got to know him better).
easiest bet fold in the world. If he checkraises like a maniac with every single draw just check back. So you're saying he c/r 75%? I mean he is a nit and hits lots of flops but still that's gotta be bad, should check back in that case.
Yes i agree with you both, i think i over think this when playing because of the times i've seen him doing this with a pure bluff, but you are 100% right about bet folding here i will definitely work my game on this kind of spots and stick to an ABC strategy which is better specially for noobs like me.
I think you should sacrifice a little bit of ev and step out of the abc bubble and win more and faster later. :D
Captain Hindsight: check back flop, its not like were happy about inducing a c-r and then gii with this hand even vs some1 like this.
after betting: dont fold, call and jam any turn K/Q/J/T/8/3/2/heart non diamond, i doubt having seen him shove flop with air is enough of a justification to bet gii with this on this flop. he is a super nova, so he probably knows the rules, and ppl generally dont c-r as wide on Axx flops, even when youre otb.
bet gii vs a unique opp like this may still be profitable, but even vs some1 like this, i doubt bet-RR ai is the best way to play this hand when we have other options IP that are prob more +EV and def lower variance.
