session review questions 2
Situation 1 :
Player limps UTG (5 handed) I am on the button with 28.5 bb effective and ThTsAc2h. Is this a good spot to over limp? PPT ranks my hand in the 29th percentile for 6 handed play but against a loose limping range of 10%-50% I am a modest favourite and of course I should do well vs the BB's 10%-100% range and the SBs loose completion range as well. Actually I will be about break even on the times that neither of the blinds raise so maybe this hand is still too weak?
Omaha Hi Simulation ?
600,000 trials (Randomized)
Hand Equity Wins Ties
ThTs2hAc 25.65% 150,959 5,939
10%-50% 26.16% 151,372 11,321
10%-100% 22.78% 131,827 9,804
10%-60% 25.42% 146,925 11,288
Situation 2 :
I open fold CO w/ TT87 one suit and 28.5 BB. Should short stack players open a tighter range than those with deeper stacks? A loose range? Same range? Is this hand strong enough to open in CO? PPT ranks it 23rd percentile.
Situation 3 :
CO opens for pot. I have KQ87 ds in the BB w/ 29.5 bb. Is this a good spot to defend? Does it depend on CO's opening range, and if so what would be a good CO opening range to defend against and a good one to fold against?
Situation 4 :
Winning pots getting bit deeper now. 50 bb. CO (4 handed game) open limps, I call J987 3 diamonds in BU. SB pots. SB appearing quite over the top aggressive at this point. Co calls I call.
Flop $13 in the pot, SB pots CO folds we have 3.5 SPR with bottom two + gutty what is our play?
