semibluff turn with NFD+TPTK?
CO: $50
BN: $50 (Hero)
SB: $42.06
BB: $50
UTG: $35.87
UTG folds, HJ folds, CO raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, SB folds, BB folds
Villain seems to be a snug regular. Only 51 hands tho. He's 28/16 so far and I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary.
The main reason semibluffing came to mind here was his sizing OTF and especially OTT. I don't expect sets, 75 or 2p to bet that small since they obv. want to protect from various draws here.
My hand is strong but on various rivers I will have a tough time facing a bet and pretty much all of his barrelling range has significant EQ vs my hand.
1) Blocking top-2-pair and with his betsizing suggesting weakness (->FE) is this a good spot to semibluff?
SPR OTT is still pretty high, so we have some options.
1) Pot the turn to gain max FE and prevent him from calling and there prevent ourselves from playing riers
2) Raise smaller.
- His shoving range: 75, KK, 88, T97:ss and prolly K8:ss
-> vs that we have 21%. If we raise to $16 and he shoves we need 30% to call and therefore could raise/fold.
3) Raise bigger but not pot.
-> Makes no sense imo since we are obv not folding once we raise to $20+
Any input appreciated!
