Protecting equity vs protecting range
Hi all, I'm noob at PLO and was wondering how you guys feel about this spot as it is common in PLO. We want to protect our hand on the turn but by doing that my range is basically 100% draws on the river. How do we overcome this? The obvious answer is to just flat hands like this, but does that give up too much equity? I realise we do not do that great if we do get it in so maybe it is better to flat since we are protected on most rivers by the rest of our range?

Slowplaying "strong" made hands on very dynamic boards isnt as important since the board will change so often on the river so it becomes less important to protect ur range by calling with this here.
The only real "bricks" would be J-A no diamond. With no dead cards thats 3x3+2 cards. The 3/2 is ofc almost a brick as well. Even on those 11-17 cards, esp the J-K u will still have 2p some of the time.
Just because ur range is so draw heavy ott if u just call, and villain may or may not have a profitable bluff w/ any 4, doesnt nec mean that he can profitably barrel air/weak draws/hands ott just because he can profitably bluff the 20-30% of brick rivers.
If we are gonna call with a hand that is likely best ott that doesnt have a draw, i think this is a very good candidate.
