Pre-flop mastery
Hey guys, how do you recommend on mastering pre-flop in PLO ?

Hi gr8sahil19 ,
There is no magic way of learning Preflop in PLO. It all comes through practice and questioning the hands you opened/folded/coldcalled/3bet with etc. With solver tools or here in the forums, you can check if specific hands had to be played a certain way preflop or not. You can then check for the same hand category (for example singlesuited QQxx combos) what the bottomline open is in MP.
For future hands you then know that all hands better than the bottomline combo can be opened and worse to be folded. Again, there are so many positions and combinations of starting hands which makes it very clear that a good Preflop foundation can only be achieved with a lot of reviews and practice. You will then realize how your confidence and decision-making gradually increases.
A good starting point is probably looking into openraises of KKxx,QQxx combos and how to play when facing a 3bet Out of Position. I would say that 90% of the Regs on lowstakes still make the mistake to open and call vs 3bets way too many of their KKxx,QQxx combos and other hands in general.
Good luck on your journey and let me know if you have any further questions! :)
Best,
Emty
