Potting the river "game".
Can anyone explain how this strategy works? I`ve seen very few winning players regularly use potsize river bets, but the ones that do use generally crush from my experience.
I want to know how to balance it, and how much can you betpot fold river at what frequencies.
I learned from watching players at higher stakes that a good spot to value bet potsize on river is when you hit the least likely of your draws for ex. you hit your gutter on river when there were 2 FDs on turn or if you played a hand tricky and it looks like a busted draw a lot. The problem is it only works a couple times against solid regs probably due imbalance because I dont have a developed bluffing game in this spots. This "trick" will work against big fishes plenty.
I would love to hear anything on this topic because it is really interesting and Ii would be awesome to be able to get called a lot on your river potsize bets.
