Hero ??

Not too many hands on this guy. He seems TAG´ish but has been very active this session. Had a note where he barrelled 3 streets HU on a flush flop with the nut blocker. Other then that, Im not sure how to play this hand optimally.

I'm confused as to why this says PLO75 and we/re playing 2.5/5, but assuming we're simply playing a 250bb deep hand here, I would probably just raise/jam the flop. We have 2pr, a gutter and a flush draw but there are basically no turn cards we are comfortable sticking the rest in on. If we raise now, we can avoid future mistakes and it's really, REALLY hard to be dominated in this spot. For example, we are an equity favourite versus a sample range I plugged into Pro Poker Tools. Assumed a 3-betting range of 3%, and that villain would stack off with these hands: (aahh, 99, 88, 22, JThh, 89hh). We were 55.75%.

Now, that isn't perfect, but I think it's a decent approximation, and the fact we would be ahead of that range is kinda awesome. Factor in that he will fold most of the time and raising the flop has to be good right? (Note: even if we up his 3-bet to 5% which gives him more combos which are bad for us, we're still better than 54%. We're also above 73% against his entire assumed 3-bet range in case you care).

Its a site with different currency, but its equal to PLO75.

I think if we started with 100bb, I would feel comfortable stacking off on this flop but this stack depth change it a bit imo. The bottom end of his stack off range 240bb deep on the flop is problably like AAJT, QJT9, AAxxss, KKxxss. If we stove it and adds some topranges were always a little behind and I dont like to get it in behind with 240bb when we have a hand that plays great as a bluffcatcher and still got alot of equity to gain. I think I could make some arguments for shipping turn but. I think we can call turn and thers 17 more cards on the river we can call off. Basically were calling any 2-6, 9 or hearts.

See, I don't wanna play this as a bluff catcher when the pot out there is significant already. Personally I'd prefer avoiding guessing spots and just shovel the money in. I'm not convinced we're behind his stacking off range (would like to see what you gave him), but I'm certain that by calling we can get into some ugly-ass situations which would be avoided by raising. Also, if I pick up the over 40bbs in the middle with my raise, I am VERY ok with that. Much prefer to take that pot without showdown than guess for my stack later on. The thing with our hand is, whilst we have everything and are almost never in horrible shape, there are a lot of hands with decent equity against us that will fold because nothing we can hit is particularly great with money to play (all far from nutty). I suppose it depends on your level of comfort with bluff-catching, but I am happier being the aggressor in this spot and letting villain make the big call/fold decision.

I am really inclined to open fold this preflop. Both blinds are quite active, we are super deep, our hand is a nice-looking trash, so we almost never can afford stacking off for 250-300 bb no matter what we flop. I really doubt it can be played profitably under these circumstances.

As played, I like to call and make a decision on the river. Our hand it not strong enough to raise get it in, and we are too strong to fold. And we have enough good river cards even if he continues barreling. See no other play.
