plo25z slowplayed full-house facing pot bet on an ugly river

Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 (6 Players) BN: $26.43 (Hero)
SB: $36.02
BB: $47.91
UTG: $23.40
MP: $48.66
CO: $25.88
Preflop ($0.35) Hero is BN with 2 3 T T
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.85, SB folds, BB raises to $2.65, Hero calls $1.80
Flop ($5.40) 6 6 T
BB bets $1.71, Hero calls $1.71
Turn ($8.82) 6 6 T J
BB bets $4.23, Hero calls $4.23
River ($17.28) 6 6 T J A
BB bets $14.10, Hero

His range is obviously AA heavy. But i also think he would bluff this river everytime he doesnt have AA. The question is is there enough hands in his range that are non-AA?

Do you know if this is a regular or recreational player? Do you know anything about his 3bet frequency?

His 3bet range is very relevant to this river spot, so if you don't know his specifically, could you comment on the way most people construct their 3b ranges here at 25z?

Some players would just check and give up with KK on this river, whereas others (tough) would always follow through.

It's hard to give specific advice here without reads or player pool reads. This could be a very easy call against some and a very easy fold against others.

This seems to be a regular or at least a guy that i've seen for a few days straight at this stake. His 3-bet % is around 5% overall and slightly higher specificaly from BB (7%). I think it's fair to say his range is wider than just AAxx when in BB vs BTN open. I've also noticed wider 3-bet ranges in general vs BTN opens across 25z but i haven't done enough database work to say that for sure.

That makes it tough.

The biggest factors to consider about his 3b range are:

-How often does he have AA?
-How often does he have KK or QQ?
-How often does he have A6?

I think he won't show up with a lot of QQ with that 3b frequency but will have some single suited marginal KK combos. I don't think we can count on hands like AQJ6ss.

Without doing a detailed breakdown based on a lot of assumptions, my rough guess is that we should fold. Really tough spot against the described villain and we are very high up in our range, but I think you'll run into a tight enough 3b range and a high enough chance that he gives up with some hands that he "shouldn't" give up with (dry KK).

What Phil said, but players in the lower stakes pools are often very value heavy when firing the third barrel and are also very often AA heavy when 3 betting. Without specific player reads or stats I think you would do best by asking yourself what the player pool on average shows up with in this spot. It may or may not matter depending on your pool, but the fact that the river is the Ad and not the Ah could also make it more likely he has AA combos given that he may be more comfortable firing pot on the flop and turn with the nut flush draw and not just a more dry AA combo. Tough spot, but try to simplify it as much as you can if you don't have specific reads or stats and then execute your line.

Could anyone give me a good reasoning why this is not a fold preflop? Other than we dont fold to 3bets in position. :) I’d give up a hand like this pre against someone who cbets a lot in 3bet pots.

Yes, I think that should have been mentioned as you and Phil pointed out Jozsef. I think especially in the lower stakes pools we can find folds with really weak KK-TT combos as these players are just so AA heavy. It makes more sense to choose combos to continue with that have more visibility on the flop and therefore are going to be more smooth like J978 or 8865. If we find that players are 3 betting closer to optimal and aren't obviously so AA heavy as mentioned, then we can adjust accordingly.
