Villain is a multitabling reg playing 20/17 with a 3bet of 5 over 100 hands or so. He potted the turn instantly. I presume that he doesn't have much JJxx in his preflop range, less 88xx, and that he wouldn't be comfortable getting it in this deep with a worse set, which made me think his range was going to be mostly made up of strong draws - I'd like to get some feedback on these assumptions and also any other comments on how I played the hand would be great.

So the fact of the matter here is you really just have AA. If you had some kind of NFD to go along you would have enough equity to be getting it in, but still not fist pumping, J8, JJ, 88, 68, J6 are made hands that have you beat, and even drawing hands like he ended up having have a ton of equity vs you. When villain CR's the turn I would just fold

This looks pretty terrible to me. Sometimes villain has a massive draw which you are flipping against (here, with a pretty mediocre-looking hand, he has 23 outs unless I miscounted, although the fact he has a f*** ton remains true), and the times he has a made hand you are drawing to very, VERY little. I don't think you can construct a credible range which you are doing well against here when he raises the turn so just let it go. I'm fine with how you played it up until you stacked off, which I think is spew. Also, given the hand villain showed up with, I think he has plenty of JJxx hands in his preflop range, as well as a load of stuff which is a made hand + draw.

Yeah, this is too ambitious. Bet-fold the turn, and it's not very close.

If you plug in some reasonable ranges, you'll see that you're far behind. He would go with any set here, as well as top two pair, or other two pair hands with some extra outs.
