Im new to PLO and have just learned to give up with oesd when theres a flsuhdraw out. Shoult that be done as well in a 3bet pot HU? I guess hes not paying me anything if I hit...

Hi Gambling Poet.
Please keep in mind that I'm new to PLO as well, i'm commenting most to get the discussion going and to see if more experienced players will point flaws in my thinking.
At first thought, I would be inclined to call because if villain is only 3betting AA, we have about 37% Eq (which makes the call BE) + Position.
However, as i put more thought in it, I think it's a fold too. If villain has a hand that will barrel turn (say OP + FD, giving that we block many SD), we are in a awful spot, because we can't use our position to steal the pot if the turn is a blank and we have about 25% Eq.
As you develop more reads (for example: villain 3bet big pairs, cbet and then give up on turn), you can call in this spot and evaluate on turn.
On the flop when villain bets just little over half pot i think this should be call near 100% time and if he checks turn i would bet near pot every card that brings straight possible and half pot when flush hits.
As you think he´s not paying if you hit so that makes more sense to pot all straight cards.
With flush i think even as 1/3 pot makes villain to fold and if he X-raises we get away cheaply.

When someone shows weakness in a spot here you have position and so called "ghost outs" -cards you can credibly bluff on, You can call looser than the potodds, because the bluffing rights make it +EV. (semi-float)
Had this been rainbow flop, and consider a tight opponent with high card in his 3betting range, this is a spot where you can shove the flop with 10 outs+ when called.
i agree, opponent will bet the flop most of the time.
Thanks a lot! In hindsight agree on calling, unless villain is on a high flushdraw he is unlikely to have a strong hand on the turn or river. AA cant really do too much if I call him and he doesnt pick up something on the turn.
You have to call against this betsize in position, he might slow down on some turns giving you free outs and you can bluff hearts vs check with the Th and also bluff 4/5/To I wouldn't open this in the HJ tho.
