Hi,
I am new to the game of PLO. I started a few weeks ago and always have problems in the situations like above. I have no stats from this player. Reviewing this hand afterwards I guess I should have folded on the flop after his raise? I dont have any draws besides a set and his raise obvious indicates he has a set and maybe and open ender.

I'd say it's a fold cuz you're blocking nut FD and SDs with 99 but if you didn't block it I think it would be a stacoff because he can have man draws in that spot. Normally he can have 88 or 86 some of the time as well but including draws with that spr it's still probably a stackoff although I am not sure, someone more experienced or with PJ please input.
I think I agree. Against this (pretty wildly guessed range) you have 35%:
(18%!AA):(26,28,68,88,66,8:dd,679T,879T,975:dd,75:dd,97:dd,754:dd)
After your bet you have to call of ~60bb to win ~12xbb so you prolly aren't making a mistake by calling. If villain is tight pre and/ or post things are getting closer.
I would prolly prefer to cbet somewhat smaller (half pot) and fold to a shove. The hands you are cbetting on this flop should either hit pretty hard (low rundowns, doulbepair->set) or wiff, so its a good play with your range I assume.
Thanks for your tipps guys.I keep that in mind with betting half pot the next time if the player is unknown and on draw heavy board. I put him either on a set or a K high Flush draw with 79 or 57 on his hand.
It turned out he had a set of eights plus Q high flush draw.
Even if you were technically ahead on flop, your'e still a flip or worse, generally. Combine that with the fact even that best-case scenario is unlikely, Id say a fairly easy laydown.
And with time and experience, such laydowns will probably become mechanical and trivial!! Keep grinding and studying here and you'll notice the advancements in your game, im sure of it!
So we need to have 35% equity to call it off and vs:
(18%!AA):(26,28,68,88,66,8:dd,679T,879T,975:dd,75:dd,97:dd,754:dd)
we have 35% equity / here we have blockers, ok, but without them I think it's far from being a fairly easy laydown. again, hoping for someone more experienced to chime in
bet smaller
fold happier
