Villian is a multi- table reg with 35/19/5 in 332 hands.
On turn, I decided to check because his flop calling range contains many flush draws. On river, I tried to rep a full house but got called by a straight. Do you like my play here?
Maybe he would have folded if I pushed the turn?
Maybe I should have raised less on flop so he could fold river?
Any comments are appreciated!
Thanks!

I don't like the raise size on the flop. Potting it in this spot is usually going to be interpreted as strong SD value without a redraw (which is what you have) and you're not pricing him out of any strong draws. If villain comes back over the top you're not in fantastic shape against his get it in range, and if villain has a wrap or medium FD+overpair she can see a turn and play poker. anything other than a non diamond 2 or 3 or an 8 or T is bad for your hand on the turn. So you're often going to pot the flop and then be stuck checking back the turn and guessing on the river.

I'd rather either raise small on the flop to keep villain's range wider and maybe induce a reraise, or flat the flop and raise or call most turns. raising small gives us more room to maneuver on later streets and will weaken villains calling range so that we can bluff or check back and not necessarily be so transparent.

as played I think the river is a mandatory bluff, but you're going to get looked up a lot and it sucks. It's very tough to convince people that you would check back a set or Ts or 8s on the turn with a 40% of pot bet. Lots of people would just shove at that point and try to fold out weak flushes or straights banking on the fact that they have 25% FH equity if they get called. I think bluffing is a must at that point, but the whole hand has led you to this crappy spot.

I actually think that hand is played fine till river. Potting flop is fine/std for me. It's not like u need or villain excepts u to have raise-folding range at that draw heavy board. So I think we should try to maximize money that goes in while we are ahead villain range.

problem with river bet is that we are probably shoving turn alot for protection (perhaps checkin flushes though?). So with those potodds we are not getting lots of folds at river.

That said I think that shoving turn would be best. I don't think that villain has lots of flushes. Medicore fd hands are mostly at cc range and best hands are shoving flop to prevent us to make correct lay downs
