I think this bet is almost mandatory. I expect to win this pot the VAST majority of the time as sets usually raise flop but it's just become quite a bit harder to get value from his other hands, especially JT if he has it. Heck, every hand we beat is really disappointed by that river. All that said, given he just won't have bluffs here very often at all, check/calling seems worse than betting and he has plenty of potential calls that we beat to make check/folding atrocious (imo).

With that in mind, we need to carve a sizing that looks like we just decided to barrel off and hope villain gets stubborn (if he raises, we will toss our hand without a second thought). Against an unknown in this spot, I would probably select $16 because 1) it seems like a nice half-pot size that will get a lot of calls and 2) we exactly doubled our turn bet which was exactly double our flop bet. Villain may not notice, but for some reason, $16 just looks slightly more suspicious to me than any of the other sizes around it. Very minor point though, and perhaps not even true, but basically I would bet/fold around half pot here, hoping to get looked up by smaller flushes or a super stubborn JT. Villain will fold a lot of the time I expect, but that's fine, he almost certainly wasn't firing anyways.

completely agree with carab!

...the way this hand was played by villain until the river, most of the time this guy is hoping for a check in order to check it back and get to a free showdown. With that in mind the sizing of our value bet shouldn't be too big. $16 is fine - maybe even less, if you want to allow some straights to pay you off.

How did you play the hand?

I bet $23.5 and he show me 5s8s2h7h. I agree, i must bet here. I think i just was sad and that's why i ask. Next time i will try to find harder hands. Thank you guys

yeah, 23.5$ is way too much. 14-16$ should be just fine. you want him to call hands you beat which he might fold versus bigger bets.

I hope you took a note that this guy called the turn w/ 8752 (and flatted it IP preflop) - seems like bluffing him would be a mistake, but value-betting him thin would be kinda fun.
