PLO 50 3b 4 way pot

CO: $115.54
BN: $270.75
SB: $149.33
BB: $68.12
UTG: $109.93
HJ: $48.60 (Hero)
Preflop ($0.75) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt A 5 4 A
UTG folds, Hero raises to $1.50, CO raises to $2.50, BN calls $2.50, SB calls $2.25, BB calls $2, Hero raises to $15.60, CO calls $13.10, BN folds, SB calls $13.10, BB calls $13.10
Flop ($66.40) 8 6 7 (4 Players)
SB checks, BB checks

With only 32 dollars behind (SPR= 0.5), is this an auto shove every time?

When we shove, the best case we can hope for is everyone folding, but i do not see that happening very often.

We are going to get action from better straights, flush draws and sets.

Should we ever consider checking instead of shoving since this is a 4 way pot?

Thanks!

Is always a + EV play when you can get all in on the flop with AA and that SPR and on this hand you are way better than that with straight, so i think it's obviously a jam. Like Tom said sometimes you'll be dead but that's just poker.

Seems like obv flop jam, but what about preflop?  Is there a better way to set up more desirable flop spots than to 4bet big?  Maybe not with 100bb eff and AAxx but I just don't know.  Your Aces aren't the greatest and yo are OOP vs the 3 bettor.  Any thoughts on a different bet sizing or play pre?

No pre is perfectly fine, too. Getting 4way to the flop is unlikely and you always like to have AA in a HU/3way pot with SPR <=1. If we were to know for sure the flop is 4way I think we should not 4bet, but it's not that likely to begin with.

I think if we are happy getting in AAxx 3 way with that SPR than we have to be happy getting it in 4way too since the extra call that goes in pre 4 ways is going to reduce our SPR even more, right?  I would think that the benefit of a lower SPR would outweigh the negative of the equity percentage we lose being up against 1 extra player.
