PLO 25 - River play

CO: $41
BN: $25
SB: $25 (Hero)
BB: $34.41
HJ: $29.05
Preflop ($0.35) (5 Players)
Hero was dealt 9 8 7 3
HJ raises to $0.50, CO calls $0.50, BN folds, Hero calls $0.40, BB raises to $2.50, HJ calls $2, CO calls $2, Hero calls $2
Flop ($10.25) 4 5 4 (4 Players)
Hero checks, BB checks, HJ checks, CO checks
Turn ($10.25) 4 5 4 6 (4 Players)
Hero bets $6.75, BB folds, HJ calls $6.75, CO folds
betting for value and protection even against 3 opps with likely best hand. Maybe should have bet more (pot?). I didn't bet more as I don't expect different FE had I bet full pot. And is very possible that one of the players have nuts. Actually I was bet/folding against shove.
River ($23.75) 4 5 4 6 5 (2 Players)
Hero?

V is a passive fish playing 54/5 , 0 3b (60 hands). No special notes.

His range is imo 45xx, 55xx, 46xx, str8 (basically any), 4xxx, ovepair with flush draw maybe (although he didn't 4b PF), some random stuff you expect here and there from a fish. It's hard to construct for me because I'd expect he will bet the flop with most of this hands.

5 seems like really good river card. Can't help V range unless he has 65xx.

Would you bet? How much? Say you bet something like 1/4 pot, are you betcalling or bet/folding? If you check and he shoves, do you call or fold?

Thanks for inputs

With what appears to be a 2/3 pot bet left, I would shove here. As you rightly pointed out, this card doesn't change a whole lot so it's pretty likely you're still good and by betting you give villain the chance to pay off with 23, 37, 4x etc. Given villain is passive, it seems unlikely you'd get this value by check/calling (in fact, I think check/calling is probably the worst line given passive players don't bluff and don't value-bet light. Therefore, when you call it'll usually be against a better hand).

If he is playing 54/5 one has to wonder what the hell he opened with utg...and how many times it has 45 in it....I think a shove here has to be right given his range and the fact you smash most of it..

Fold preflop I think.  It's probably a call from the BB, but I think SB is a little loose.  Not positive though.

The rest looks fine if you jam river.

this hand doesn't play too well multiway oop, so I would probably fold preflop. As played easy river shove vs fish, give him the chance to overplay his AA or low straight.
