In game, I was torn between calling and raising. I ended up raising flop because I wanted to maximize fold equity. Maybe calling flop and bluffing later is more profitable?

I think raising in this spot is pretty bad! You only have 9 nut outs and when stacks go in you will often be dominated. His 3betting range from the BB should be tighter than other position so he either has a AAxx hand which will often include the nut flush draw after he cbets here or a good rundown like JT89.
So by raising you mainly fold out all the hands that will often give up OTT anyways and you coud take down the pot and all other hands that he is gii with will often include a FD which is very bad for your equity.
Even against his actual hand which doesnt include a FD you only have 30% equity. Best option here is to call and play IP with more than pot sized bet behind imo.
Interesting spot. This flop is good for his range. If he has reasonable c-bet range (pair+draw, AdA*d* + and so on), what cards OTT we gonna bluff? Diamods? We don't block any flush, it's likely he has it. Blank?
It sucks that we dont hold a diamond but i would most likely still bluff them OTT when he checks to us cuz hands like the one he has here will just fold to a smaller turn bet!
Pretty easy/standard call on flop. There are some hands that he is bet/folding on this flop, but against those hands you aren't giving up much by flatting anyway.
