PL25: vulnerable TP, PFA checks turn

BN: $20.82
SB: $24.68
BB: $70.79
UTG: $8.09
HJ: $2.13
CO: $45.02 (Hero)
villain 18/18
3b 18 (2 samples)
23 hands
Preflop ($0.35) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt Q 5 9 A
UTG folds, HJ folds, Hero raises to $0.75, BN folds, SB raises to $2, BB folds, Hero calls $1.25
Flop ($4.35) A 7 7 (2 Players)
SB bets $2.03, Hero calls $2.03
Turn ($8.41) A 7 7 3 (2 Players)
SB checks

Is this a spot where we're still better off betting the turn although it doesn't seem to make too much sense in a vacuum (no better hands call, only a few worse do), potentially get to fold AK or a weak 7 on some runouts and check back once we improve.

Because if we check back with no info about his tendencies it will be very hard to play the river ui if he bets into me, especially on scary runouts.

I doubt he folds AK on the turn so I would just be trying to get to showdown. I don't think you should be so concerned about him having an optimal bluffing frequency on the river at these stakes.

I wasn't talking about getting to fold AK OTT but on a club river for example. If I check the turn, I have way little FE over a strong 1p hand like this. But yeah, I also favored checking this back.

Not sure why I can't reply directly to your reply. I'm new to this site.

Ah I see what you're saying now. I think the range of hands you're trying to fold out is too narrow (exactly AK) and your hand mildly too strong to make up for the lack of value the bet gives.
