PL25: overpair OOP 3w

BB: $22.47
UTG: $24.92
HJ: $24.86
CO: $25.86
BN: $25.76
SB: $25.69 (Hero)
Preflop ($0.35) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt 4 4 Q Q
UTG calls $0.25, HJ folds, CO folds, BN folds, Hero raises to $1, BB calls $0.75, UTG calls $0.75
Flop ($3.10) 6 8 2 (3 Players)
Hero bets $2.20, BB calls $2.20, UTG calls $2.20
Turn ($9.70) 6 8 2 3 (3 Players)
Hero bets $6.90, BB folds, UTG calls $6.90
River ($23.50) 6 8 2 3 A (2 Players)

No real reads on both guys other than that they appear loose/passive fishy. Does it even make sense to raise dbl pairs like that vs two LPs OOP?

Do you like the turn barrel as played? Because it's unlikely by itself and I block 54 a lot, I felt like I might get them to fold often enough because they're mostly drawing. Maybe I can even valuebet my QQ.

Would you fire the 3rd one to get him off of overpairs to the 8? Do you think he folds a rivered TP? Would you have barreled lets say a J?

Turn barrel is good and I'd check back most rivers, but kind of want to pot this one in case he picked up the A.  I think the river is very close between a bet and a check.

I just prefer to over call on the preflop with QQ44 ss

as you played, the flop I would like to check and make the pot small against 2 opponents at OOP

because we don`t have any back-up just naked over pair (2outs) and they can have some drwas (FD, SD, and some one or two pair + draw) or better over pair KKxx

they can have any hands because here is $25 limit, players really like to see the flop with any hands even low marginal rundowns.

also you can be check-raised when someone has strong draw

so I will check and see the action and if BB bets and UTG calls I fold, if BB checks and UTG bets quiet big, I also lean toward to fold.

turn is obviously check-fold , river as well.

it`s just my opinion. I hope my thinking process can help you : )

I could see this being a call pre because BB was fishy and likely to overcall as well and it's tough to play this hand OOP 3w vs two opponents. But the value of lower sets goes down as well so what about JJ44 or TT44? Just fold these?

I didn't like checking the flop because it feels like conceding the pot. Yeah, you can get away if the action goes bet, call but even then they might still have random garbage. QQ is still quite strong and they'll definitely peel with all sorts of weak crap. However I admit that there will only be very few turn cards I'm happy to barrel on.

I`m not gonna say I`m right because I`m also learning the PLO from low stakes.

what I want to say is that it`s just my opinion : D

(so what about JJ44 or TT44? Just fold these?) => I think just call and see the flop as cheap as possible on the SB to set mining. I also agree with you 44 doesn`t well coz it`s too low.

As you said there are many ugly turn.. it`s hard to continue at OOP

Here are some Questions

If the card arrived which except Q (not spade : 1 out ) any cards are hard for us

if you are willing to bet the river, is it value bet?

1) Can we keep involve this pot flop to river with a naked over pair?

2) Can we call a over 1/2 sized river bet?

If I expected BB to often call, I'd limp your QQ44 and JJ44/TT44 as well. Single-suited disconnected doublepairs have a few select flops they nail. If you raise and c-bet lots of flops, most of the time you'll be c-betting air. Accomplishes little OOP against two loose opponents.

As played, I would check this flop. To see how bad your hand is unimproved:

- 48% vs one random hand
- 26% vs two random hands

Betting builds a pot that will be easy for someone else to win. And we're back to preflop play, since this will happen to you a lot.
