PL25: marginal pair limped pot

CO: $27.40
BN: $24.42
SB: $23.39
BB: $25 (Hero)
BB 70/3 tiny sample
Preflop ($0.35) (4 Players)
Hero was dealt 3 T 5 K
CO folds, BN folds, SB calls $0.15, Hero checks
Flop ($0.50) A 5 2 (2 Players)
SB bets $0.25, Hero calls $0.25
Turn ($1.00) A 5 2 8 (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.60, SB calls $0.60
River ($2.20) A 5 2 8 7 (2 Players)
SB checks

Is it better to check back the turn and hope to improve? I felt like he could do this flop bet with any2 so I better just bet the turn to take it down vs anything that has a lot of equity + I can improve on the river as well.

OTOH he's LP and might call too lightly and/or play stronger hands more passively. Additionally I prolly have little FE on the river in such a small pot even if the board runs brings scare cards.

So better check back turn and if no, bet or giveup this river?
