overpair + NFD with high SPR OOP

SB: $29.43
BB: $25 (Hero)
UTG: $17.78
HJ: $90.76
CO: $10.56
BN: $63.37
Preflop ($0.35) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt Q Q 4 A
UTG folds, HJ calls $0.25, CO folds, BN calls $0.25, SB calls $0.10, Hero raises to $1.25, HJ calls $1, BN calls $1, SB folds
Flop ($4.20) 9 6 2 (3 Players)

This is not only about this particular hand but generally about figuring out how to play vs non-folding players OOP.

Pre: This hand is on the low end of my raising range here. I'd check AQQ4 with non-nut-FD.

MP is 72/12. I have a read that favors my play in this particular hand but like I said I'm interested if this play is cool even without the read. This villain has a tendency to just pot out fd (not only NFD) IP and OOP and shut down on unimproved turns.

BTN is 72/13

OTF: At first glance I very much like my hand. No reads.

My standard would be to just bet like 3,25-3,50 here and take it from there. Problem is that the chance that both of them fold is superslim.
- If both call I have to check everything but a Q, 2, maaaybe 6. Even an A isn't too great.
- If one of them calls I can proly barrel the cards mentioned above and add J,K,9 to it so that's not as bad.

Anyways, since I'm not too happy (not too sad either tho) with most outcomes I thought about x/raising.
- If it get's checked through that's obv not too great but not the end of the world since taking down the pot OTF is so unlikely here that betting doesn't promise that as well.
- If one of them bets (and hopefully the other one calls) I can x/r and heavily decrease the SPR.

So first question: Is this a good idea in general or just FPS and betting the flop is way to go.
2nd question: If the bet is big I can just x/pot and get in a lot of money and not worry about turns. However, if the bet is $2 or smaller it get's troublesome. I can either still x/pot and get like 10,xx in vs a $2 bet which is still enough I guess or x/r smaller which makes the SPR on turns too high to just blindly shove any (or most) turns.

I hope that's not too many questions and other confusing, non-logical stuff in one thread. Already excited to get a discussion going!

About the preflop raise:

OOP against two very sticky players this raise is a pot sweetener for when you hit. You'll have to c/f lots of flops, but you've set yourself up for getting stacks in quickly when you flop gin. As long as you don't try to barrel through with just a dry overpair, you should do fine.

But I don't mind checking this preflop either, or raising smaller, since you'll have to check so many flops. With two suits, or without the dangler I'm very happy to raise here. I'd also happily raise only one limper, since that would be a much easier situation to play unimproved postflop, and it would create more fold equity as well.

On the flop, I like a c/r if they are stabby. You're crushing one pair hands and draws, and you're flipping against two pair. You'll have to check lots of flops anyway (and they are probably aware of that), so it should not raise much suspicion.

Like ZenFish already said, if you have the read that your opponents are stabby, I'd definitely go for the x/r

If you have no reads on your opponents, I think this is a bet to protect & you can back into a nutflush to win a big pot later
