New to PLO, unsure of right play.

BN: $11.99
SB: $29.26 (Hero)
BB: $4.30
UTG: $13.57
HJ: $23.52
CO: $13.54
Less than 10 hands on either villain.
Preflop ($0.15) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt A A 7 J
UTG folds, HJ folds, CO raises to $0.30, BN raises to $1, Hero raises to $3.40, BB folds, CO calls $3.10, BN calls $2.40
Flop ($10.35) 5 9 K (3 Players)

Is this a standard shove spot? Betting half pot and folding to a shove seems awful. Check deciding might not be bad?

Yeah seems to me that shoving flop is best. We're never getting it in great and sometimes we get it in really bad but there's so much money in the pot already. Making them fold anything is a very good result.

check raise > raise imho.  gain value from his bluffs and all his calls will bet anyways i think.  Just bet turn if he checks. thoughts?

It's rare to see a bet when we check here. And those hands willing to bet once we check typically have strong hands I would just bet myself here.
