Given that you have 32% equity against 99 because of your double gutty it is going to be pretty tough to get away from this one, although you really have to wonder what other hands a reg is going to want to stack off here with an SPR of 25. Incidentally villain's flop raise is just a 2-bet. There are a lot more playable combos of 99 than 33 as well. Anyway I am virtually certain I play it the same way as you.
I wouldn't lead this flop that often just because it doesn't really hit your range that well. You will have a lot of overpairs that don't want to get raised along with many rundowns that don't connect. I like x/r or x/c in that situation and you were going to get coolered either way it looks like, but I do like checking the flop to start. I will say that in the lower stakes pools you probably can just get away with an unbalanced lead and if i do lead I would size it up closer to pot just because you aren't betting that often in this spot, but optimal strategy dictates you check quite often on this flop texture to the player in position.
I would bet/call and reconsider on turn. I could even find a fold on certain cards on turn.
But on that particular turn, 2h gives you an additional double gutter and fd - I don't think you can fold on turn when called flop.
But I am glad to know that c/c flop is a better way to play this hand. ty
