it has been a few months since i transitioned to PLO from NL

One area of my game that I really want/need to improve is: i want to develop a stronger understanding of how to categorize/sort my individual hands into the ranges they belong to. I want to become better at identifying which hands belong in which ranges I believe that I am doing an okay job of this intuitively, but there is a lot of room for me to improve.

if anyone reads this my question for you is: how did you personally develop an ability to identify where each of yyour hands belong in a balanced strat? How/what should I study if I want to learn how play a more optimal/balanced strat?

I have already learned a great deal from theory videos, but I am eager to get feedback from other PLO players too.

I have not used any PLO solvers so far, but i have experience with PIO/GTO+. Should I buy some PLO software? is it possible to learn this without using software?
