Looking back I prefer a 3B --> Check Call
BB: $138 (Hero)
SB: $101.50
SB: $101.50
Had only been playing with Villain for 36 Hands but I have been 3B almost 24% so far. He is 78/59 with 28.6 3B with 33% fold to 3B
Preflop
($1.50)
(2 Players)
Hero was dealt
A
J
A
9
SB raises to $2.50, Hero raises to $8, SB calls $6
SB raises to $2.50, Hero raises to $8, SB calls $6
Flop
($18.00)
9
J
T
(2 Players)
Hero bets $10,
SB raises to $32,
Hero folds
I feel like I get raised here a lot with flush + str8 draws as well as straights. That being said I would have preferred a check call over CB. Our hand is disguised if we hit a boat and we can re-evaluate turns, get it in on diamonds or an ace. Thoughts?
Final Pot
SB
wins $59

As for the turn, when you X/C the flop and the turn isn't a heart, he will continue betting a very high frequency, thinking that you have a bluff catcher at best, and will incorrectly fold that bluff catcher to more aggression. So, IMO, against a good, aggressive opponent (maybe not even good, you might just need the aggro) this is a standard X/Jam on a non-heart turn.
